Our tour guide was hilarious!
He really made the history of the Freedom trail interesting by way of his presentation.

He engaged everyone with the tales of the town and took us from one end of the city to the other!

Loved it!

Went one end to the other taking in all of the sights and absolutely loved it. Leaflet was worth getting as told us all we needed to know. Really worth doing if you have a spare couple of hours and like a good walk.

Our tour guide was the irrepressibly Jeremiah Poope. He recounted the story of the patriots of Boston and the buildings that still stand as memorials to those times in the most engaging, witty and interesting way. My husband is not the biggest fan of history and he had him not only concentrating but actively listening and absorbing every detail. Jeremiah is not only knowledgeable but he also tells a very funny story. On the day we were with him he had a double group because his colleague had been held up. He managed to endure every member of the (very large) group could hear him and Gus not start his commentary until everyone had caught up (always a stress in these circumstances). Highly recommended.

The Freedom Trail was the primary reason I chose Boston for our mini-vacation. Walking from the Boston Commons to the North End while discovering historical treasures around every corner and I’d mean every corner. This is an opportunity for travelers that enjoy touching and feeling history while getting some exercise.

So much history on a single trail. Please take the time to study the details. It’s not necessary to take a guide. The trail is self explaining if you have studied American history. If not, a tour group always helps.
