We just spent a great evening at the Beaufort House Inn and would definitely recommend it to anyone. These folks get customer service, cleanliness, great food and hospitality at its finest! Upon arriving we were welcomed with warm hellos, offers to sit and relax a bit, glass of wine, a beer, coffe or tea, waters, snacks and anything to help us relax and get comfortable. With a beautiful front porch to sit and swing, or just take in the lovely gardens, they just help you chill and unwind. Our room was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was outstanding as is the service. We recommend them highly--you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: Go on line and see the rooms ahead of time. They're all beautiful!

"Chill and unwind"....that is exactly what we hope will happen when our guests arrive...thanks so much for noticing the details that we strive for everyday. The porch is always a draw for sure and we are delighted that you enjoyed that as well. We appreciate that you selected us and hope that we see for a return visit. Have a great rest of 2017 - Christina & Jim

My husband and I had our honeymoon at the Beaufort House Inn in 2006 and we stayed in the Savannah Cottage...We just celebrated our 11th anniversary this past week at the Beaufort and this time we stayed in the Dogwood Cottage. The Inn Keepers Jim and Christina and their staff made our recent visit amazing! The breakfast was amazing each morning with fresh coffee, tea and orange juice....Christina is a wonderful cook and it is obvious they both share the gift of great hospitality! The home is rich in History and the landscaping and the grounds are a delight to stroll around on...I would recommend this B&B to anyone looking to celebrate life, love and good company! Thank you Jim and Christina for making us feel so welcomed and taken care of!

We were booked for 3 nights in the Ivy Terrace for a year ahead of time and added 1 more night to be able to spend more time with family (also staying at the inn). This was a big mistake! Before you book this room realize that this room is in the basement of the building and is tiny. You are unable to get to the dining room or parlor without going outside. The ceiling is very low and it is directly below the busy kitchen. Also realize that the formal 2 course breakfast is served at 9:00 with no exception. This makes for a late start to your sight-seeing day. There's one of those huge 2 person jacuzzis with a shower head at the far end. I was given a shower chair to help with the transition from the high side. With a long shower mat, grab bars, and some senior citizen acrobatics, I did manage to risk it. I should not have. I also want to mention that the glass block window in the bathroom tub area was stained with mold, as was the shower/tub wall grout. If you sleep with a C-PAP there is no generator to back up electricity if the power goes out, probably common at most B&Bs. The bed linen was probably the best we've experienced and the bed was very comfortable. Too bad we couldn't get more sleep. The food was excellent and the owner worked very hard to accommodate our family members' various dietary restrictions. We were able to all sit at one table which was very special for us. We probably would have found the inn more enjoyable if we were in a room within the upper house proper with a more accessible, clean bathroom and a breakfast time that was more flexible.

Room Tip: Any room but Ivy Terrace

Thank so much for sharing our Inn for your family reunion with all of your siblings and spouses.

We enjoyed your 5 day visit and did everything we could to help you and the other 5 couples enjoy your time together. We realized that your group had a variety of dietary preferences and we were happy that we were able accommodate all of them. We were also happy to welcome your nephew, John Jr. at the last-minute at no charge, since he was a hurricane evacuee from the Univ. of Miami.

As you know, we put a great deal of effort into pleasing our guests, so we really appreciate the kind comments from all your family, and regret that we did not satisfy you 100%.

We are sorry that some aspects of the room you chose did not meet your needs. We try to discuss room selections with guests ahead of time, so if there are preferences, or physical limitations, we can help you select the best room for you. Since you booked a year ago you had many room options and we apologize if we did not do an adequate job of assisting you in your room selection.

Also, we are happy to accommodate alternative breakfast times for our guests, but we assumed you wanted to dine with the rest of your family since you did not request an alternative time.

In any case, we appreciate that you valued our effort and hope that you will return again sometime in the future, and give us an opportunity to help you enjoy our Inn and take part in all the fun in Asheville.

All the Best,
Jim & Christina

This is our third time staying here and we can't wait to go back again. We stayed in the Rose room which was incredible. The room is very large, beautifully decorated, and the bed is very comfortable. It also has a huge bathroom with a large claw foot tub which we loved. The owners and staff are fantastic! They helped us find amazing places to eat and things to do which only the locals know about. They also recommended running routes and places to hike, which was great. They are clearly very knowledgeable about Asheville and the surrounding areas and loved helping us find the perfect things to do to make our trip complete. We can't wait to go back.

This is our second time staying at the Beaufort House and you can be certain this will not be our last. We just adore Jim and Christine (owners). They are super knowledgeable about the town and helped us plan our days and nights out. Our room was clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. If you are undecided, choosing the Beaufort House is 100% the right choice.
