Hyatt Place is a great place in downtown Asheville. It is right off I-240 and an easy walk to the center of downtown. The rooms are very clean and bright and quiet being that close to I-240. We experienced more noise from the street that the freeway.

the hotel was modern and clean. service was great. breakfast was very good and location was ideal. it is on a major highway so there is that to contend with but they supply a noise machine to help not that it was needed.a great location if visiting downtown Asheville.

The room was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. It was very quiet, but I did request a room away from the highway. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. Great location, just a short walk into the heart of downtown. The rooftop bar had amazing mountain views. Would definitely stay there again, if ever in Asheville.

We chose this hotel for a 2 night stop in Asheville because we had Hyatt points to spend. It was clean and well maintained, rooms were large and beds comfortable. The option of a pull out sofa bed is great for families that need a bit more sleeping space. It’s true, there is a shelter across the street, but it was not an issue for us. Also there definitely is highway noise if you have an even # room, but we only noticed around commuting hours (7-8 am) and we were up anyway!

The pool was fine, kids enjoyed it. It was crazy loud - poor acoustics. I did notice windows were frosted glass so no one can see in as some previous reviews said (maybe that’s a recent change?)

Breakfast was typical for this level of hotel and not particularly good, but we appreciated the convenience and kids were happy with cereal and baked goods. We did end up going out one day instead.

Yo do have to pay to park, but that’s typical in any “downtown” hotel in any city.

The rooftop bar was small, but lovely and it’s all ages between 3-6pm so we took our kids up for snacks. After 6pm it’s 21 and up. Drinks and food were great.

Staff was very friendly. We had no complaints. Overall it’s a good reliable family option in downtown if you get a good rate.
