What a great surprise Pacific Pagoda was! We started with the Age Tofu, excellent. Shrimp Shumai Dumplings, delicious, There was a very creative Tuna App that was amazing and then the Mamamia Roll, and that was really enough for the two of us. All the food around us looked delicious and our Server took our order in actual Japanese Writing. Service was impeccable and the restaurant spotless!

You want Japanese? Chinese? Thai? Pacific Pagoda has it all.

Four of us met for lunch, and everything was great.

It was a Monday, and I had sashimi--breaking the "no fish on Monday because it might not be fresh" rule, and it was incredibly fresh. Another one in our group had fried red snapper; it was prepared tempura style, and it was accompanied with bowl of delicious dipping sauce. Someone else selected sweet and sour chicken, a Chinese dish that is often awful because it's not sufficiently crisp--but that wasn't the case: it was wonderful. The fourth friend got a grilled Hawaiian dish; he selected chicken as a part of it, but he could have had sirloin steak, pork, or shrimp.

Service was especially professional. The place is immaculate.

It should be noted that Pacific Pagoda is open seven days a week.

They also do a brisk-take-out business from a separate entrance.

Loved this little restaurant. Suggested by other reviews in Trip Advisor. Restaurant was clean, neat, quaint little booths and quiet. Food was fresh, very well presented and very tasty. Sushi Chef was friendly as was our waitress. Loved the special rolls offered! Large menu to choose from. Highly recommend. Have attached a couple of pictures.

Came here with my daughter On 6-16-18 for lunch, and sat at the sushi bar. So the chefs name is “Andy” and he is stellar! He makes conversation and connects behind the bar with his customers! He serves and prepares explaining what he is doing which is super rare. Turns out he is the owner! What a cool guy.

On top of that the tuna quality here is excellent! I mean the huge hunk they cut the sashimi from was incredible and looked amazing!! The salad this guy made from avocado, hearts of palm, roe, capers... there was so much going on and it was all very very good. The avocado was perfectly ripe, the jalapeño was perfectly minced so small, the wasabi so fresh! No crusty paste.

I’m telling you the food here is top notch! Can’t wait to return!

I had been wanting to go to Pacific Pagoda after doing a search for good Duck in Asheville. This totally hidden strip mall gem which no one has heard of was not disappointing in the slightest. Sushi was fresh, well prepared and presented. Soups (miso and hot and sour) were outstanding. While the Peking Duck wasn't the Peking Duck that must be ordered hours if not days in advance, it was good. Boneless with crispy skin, It was served with fluffy pillowy rice pancakes, cucumber and scallion slivers, hoisin sauce on the side. A quick and creative take on what is a very preparation intensive dish that held up well. I would not order it again, but will definitely return to sample what seems an impossibly varied menu, and would not shy away from another duck dish. (they have a few). I would recommend Pacific Pagoda heartily to all those who miss good New York style Chinese food. Very surprised at how fresh the raw fish was as well. What a find. Next time I will ask for recommendations just for fun. I am grateful that there was a wait at a popular chinese chain restaurant which we almost went to just because it was close to the Movie we saw and it was a rainy, cold March night. The service was good and it's worth the effort to get there.
