Despite a very rocky start. I called to purchase tickets because we wanted to go on the premium tour. I was told that the tour was sold out but that it was possible to add tours and I would be contacted if a tour was added. A week later I called again and was told the same thing, and told just to expect that we would be on the tour at that point. A week before we were to be there I called again and was told the maximum number of tours had been added and that they never called to let people know tours were added! I was literally on the verge of just cancelling the whole trip to Biltmore. The day we went was the opening of the Chihully art glass exhibit, which, in my opinion detracted from the beauty of the grounds and gardens. Despite shards of glass sticking out of everything it was an enjoyable day. We did the rooftop tour and saw some very interesting things about the houses construction. Got drenched in the garden by a sudden downpour, but dried nicely in the winery.

This is our first trip to Biltmore during the Summer. We were here at Christmas several years ago and that was a special experience. The Summer tour of the house was more extensive than the Christmas tour and well worth the revisit. They just opened a special exhibit of glass blowing by Chihuly that is unbelievable! This alone was worth the visit. The works are scattered throughout the mansion and grounds. The pieces in the garden were spectacular. This is a 5 star attraction.

Very elegant worthwhile visit. Had to believe the technology available to them during this time frame, yet it was built mostly by hand.

This is a worthwhile place to spend your time and money! If you’re a man who thinks you won’t enjoy it as much as a woman who wants you to go you’re wrong. You will enjoy and appreciate the Biltmore experience. Beautiful! The gardens, mountains, scenery, architecture, fine art, etc... is all exceptional and memorable. A pleasant, interesting day. The Chihuly Glass art exhibit that has just begun is awesome and will continue through October. The large sculptures are mainly installed outside and are not to be missed. We went on a Monday and it was not too crowded but the weekends require advance reservations for tickets because of high attendance.

We spent the day at the Biltmore Estate and it was fantastic. The grounds are amazing and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Highly recommend giving yourself 5-6 hours to take in everything without rushing. Also I recommend ordering your tickets ahead of time online to save yourself some time and money.

Biltmore Village is great way to finish your day with a meal, some wine, and perhaps some ice cream.

Thank Nate C
