Free museum on the history of Los Alamos with a particular focus on the Manhattan project to develop the first nuclear bomb. Watch the short documentary while here. In addition to the video, you can plan to spend about 45 minutes here.

This museum provides an excellent history of the manhanttan project as well as the current role of the lab. The two movies are well worth the time to see it. Many interactive exhibits and something for everyone.

Bradbury Science Museum has something for everyone...and it is free. There are two excellent historic movies, lots of displays from nature in the area to Little Boy and Fat Man bomb replicas, interactive and static displays, and even a fun scavenger hunt for kids. Very instructive information about the Manhattan Project, as well as current research and work. Clean restrooms and water fountain.
