After spending the day visiting Arches and Canyonland we were needing a place
to rest our heads. We decided to stay out of the fray so we drive a bit out of town
to Red Cliffs Lodge. What a surprise! It is a beautiful resort, rooms are fantastic and the main lodge sits at the bend of the river. What a pleasant surprise compared to in town lodging! Once we settled we went to the main lodge which is huge. Downstairs is an exhibit of old time photos and memorabilia….not necessarily pertaining to the area but interesting none the less.
There is inside and outside dining overlooking the river….we sat outside and loved every minute of the view and the food. They have horseback riding but we did not have time. If you are looking for a nicer place to stay or for a romantic evening do not hesitate. The staff is super nice and very accommodating!!!! We will be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the river, if available.

The beauty of this place is unparalleled. Lodge is ok as well as restaurant. Not sure of us coming in off season but most things on menu were not available. Restaurant is very expensive and your pretty far out to get anything else so my recommendation is to stop and bring food in....the kitchenette is very limited. Maybe sandwiches etc. This was basically a stop over and that was about all I found it good for.

We don't often return to the same hotel but Red Cliffs Lodge is one of the exceptions. This was our 3rd stay and it won't be our last.

We were greeted very friendly at the front desk as always. Our room was clean and spacious with everything we needed provided, including large pool towels.

One of the reasons we come back is the magnificent view from the deck. We ate at the Cowboy Grill all 3 nights, the food is simple but good and they offer enough choice for every taste. Service was friendly.

Another reason to come back is the winery, we had a good time tasting wine with Charleen and stocked up for the rest of our trip.

The lodge is located 14 miles from downtown Moab, it's a beautiful drive by the river and we enjoy spending our time at the lodge after a busy & hot day in the parks. The pool is great to cool off in and big enough to swim laps.

The lodge offers packed lunches, we always buy them as there are no outlets in the parks.

The Red Cliffs Lodge is not a 5 star resort but if you're looking for a comfortable place to stay near the attractions in Moab with good service in a beautiful location this is a great choice.

We arrived late at night so we couldn't see the area. At the front desk we met a wonderful hostess that gave us great advice. But the next morning, when we opened the curtains...OMGoodness!!! The place is gorgeous! We had a great breakfast and continued our trip, definitely we should return!

Western style lodgings in the most superb location you could imagine, that is, if you wouldn't mind waking up to a river running past your back patio door, and the most awesome scenery you've ever stared at with that first cup of coffee.
Not a fussy place. Western "decor". Bed fine. Doors lock. Shower works.Nice people at the front desk. Good breakfast. Nothing fancy( but if you're looking for that you're in the wrong County/State) I was out the door all three days at 4:30am to shoot the sunrise at Dead Horse Point and Mesa Arch in The Canyonlands National Park. 45 minute drive to a breathtaking overlook and some of there best photography in the West.
John Ford shot scene from "Rio Grande" right on this ranch and up the road in Professor Valley.
Would go back to Red Cliffs anytime. Hope I get the chance. So much more to see and do here in Moab.
