Booked as the price was reasonable and the location seemed well suited to the activities I would be doing.

The rooms are small but you'd expect that in San Francisco and I was not hanging out in the room for long.

Staff all pleasant to interact with and helpful with any queries.

The only issue is that the area can be quite noisy at night. Wear earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Recommended.

Thank you so much for your review and moreover, for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us. We appreciate your honesty regarding the typical size of boutique hotel rooms in San Francisco, we do want you to know we do offer larger rooms such as our Drama Queens. Which will give you more room for shopping. Being in the heart of downtown the city does tend to be more vibrant especially in the weekends. Glad you found our earplugs handy. We would love to welcome you back again at one of our beloved Pineapple hotels for another awesome stay.

The hotel is clean and has got a cool diferent vibe, I’m not going to complain on the fact that it is located half a block from the tenderloin, cause I already knew when booked, nor about the fact that rooms are ridiculously small, because it is SFO, but for what you pay here you expect so much more.

The hotel does not offer room service of any kind, breakfast options are very poor, and the worst, they charge a 30usd daily amenity fee!! all for cheap water in your room, wifi accces, and the option to borrow a bike, I thought this was of such poor taste, their amenities are so poor you cant understand how they dare to charge extra for them, for what you pay you would expect for this to be complimentary, if not they should raise the night cost and include them on it, but to charge an extra amount and even dare to explain this is what it includes is just insulting.

I apologize for the amenity fee. While it seems excessive, the fees go a great way towards covering costs for the little extras we try to provide to all of our guests. I understand your frustration. Please rest assured our team constantly reviews our procedures and we'll do our best to meet the wants and needs of all of our guests.

My son and I stayed here and we were very comfortable. Beds great, air conditioning was outstanding, shower was great. It is a bit of a hike to Fisherman’s Wharf but we used Lyft, shared. The area is a bit seedy but amazing multi cultural restaurants. Great service here. Photo is the Geary St. just outside hotel.

Thank you! We're glad you and your son were able to enjoy SF and all of its sights and sounds. I do recommend using public transit to get to the Wharf area. The F Line classic trolley cars go down Market st to the Embarcadero and over to the Wharf, while the Cable Cars leave from the same area and travel over the hills to go to Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Square.

The Alise met all of my expectations. Great central location and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Loved the decor and I would definitely stay here again. Reasonable parking rates right next door.

Room tip: Room 204 was a little tight for space, even for 1 person.
