We spent 3 nights in this huge Hilton in the Union Square section of SF. 40th floor views of the bay were stunning. The room and staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative is the lobby. This enormous lobby is the exact opposite of cozy, calm, and quiet. After a 3,000 mile flight, we were tired and didn’t expect nor want to walk into the loudest, most crowded hotel lobby we’ve ever been in. It was dirty, and crowded with well over 100 loud people. It was like Grand Central Station. Management needs to analyze the echo and acoustics in the lobby. It’s extremely nerve wracking to say the least.
Also, don’t venture out too far at night because it is very close to the Tenderloin district, which is notorious for open street drug dealers on every corner.More
