I booked this hotel because of the brand name and price. It's needs a major overhaul and refresh. It was clean, but very worn and a lot of damage. It's not awful, but it's not relaxing or comfortable.

We stayed at Hilton Financial District in March, and from the time we checked in until we left everything at the hotel was amazing! Upon arriving at the hotel after a long flight, the front office supervisor Michael was able to upgrade our room to the 25th floor. The views were incredible with Coit Tower right in front of us. The bed and linens were all great, but I especially like the work station next to the window. We also really enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel. It had a great selection with healthy options as well. The fitness center was also clean & well maintained. The check out process was quick & the front door staff were able to arrange a limo ride to the airport in just a few minutes. I'll be back at Hilton San Francisco Financial District for sure!

I have stayed in many Hilton’s and I can honestly say the service we received at the San Fransisco Finance district was the worse we’ve ever had. First night we experience constant noise at 3.00am until early morning, If your room is near the escalators you will get no sleep!

We then requested a new room on our second night, we had new guests walk straight into our room because they were given a room key for our room and said that this is their room. This was 11pm at night, so we were woken up and let alone having strangers be able to walk straight in is so outrageous and extremely unsafe. If we hadn’t of been in our room they would have access to all our personal belongings!!

After our stay we never received our correct deposit back. Each time I called the hotel they put me through to another individual who asked me same questions and I asked for a manager and I never got through to them!

If your up for having sleepless nights then book this hotel!

The hotel was in a cool location which offered a view of “Chinatown,” a Park across the street and individuals doing some form of cultural movement in a Park day and night. It was interesting. Little Italy was in walking distance and offered a variety of restaurants and bars. The staff were very attentive and helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants. We went to a nearby Chinese restaurants and a breakfast place with quick service and great food recommended by staff. The Restaurant in the hotel offered decent items for a night cap. Bottled water was available courtesy to Hilton Honors members.

Cons: The in and out parking is expensive. There was no refrigerator and microwave (which didn’t really effect us on this trip). The city is occupied with a lot of people and unfortunately there were a good amount of homeless individuals nearby, it’s not the hotels fault the staff were all friendly and helpful. I do not recall seeing a store for items or snacks inside of the hotel.

Good experience, great location. I would recommend it...find cheaper parking if you do not need in and out access.

The good: 1. Great location! Just a few blocks from the waterfront, the Muni, and BART. Chinatown is literally across the street. Felt safe walking around the neighborhood. 2. Great staff. We had a really great experience with the staff. They were friendly, professional, and helpful. The breakfast host and table staff were great. They remembered us, and we enjoyed talking a bit with them. The front desk was helpful too. The bad: 1. LOUD. Not from the outside, but from the inside. You could hear people walking up and down the halls, doors slamming, and people moving in rooms above/beside. We couldn't hear voices, but we certainly heard movement. Fortunately, we both had noise-cancelling headphones and it didn't keep us up. 2. Slow wi-fi. I mean so slow it was pretty much useless. I was just in Laos. Not to bust on Laos, but the wi-fi there was actually faster than the wi-fi at this Hilton. I had to go elsewhere to get a connection fast enough to do work. (I did not pay extra for faster internet. That might have been usable.) Other things I care about: Air Con: good. Kept the room nice and cool; Shower: decent water pressure with plenty of hot water; Bugs: nope. Overall, the staff and location made up for the weaknesses. I'd definitely stay here again if the rate was reasonable.
