“Great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2012

Great location, clean rooms, free Internet, new flat screen tv. Only downfall is the rooms are not that big, but we didn't spend a whole lot of time in it, so not an issue,

Great location, walking to fisherman's wharf (2 blocks away).
Hotel was clean, staff was nice.
Problem with our reservation thru Pricesline, management solved the problem.
Hotel is updating the decor, but it didn't impact us and the room (double beds) was pretty.
Happy-hour wine was "two-buck chuck", but the thought was nice and the room was full of pleasant people to chat with.

Room Tip: try to get an inside room, there is a lot of street noise (just like any other large city)

Three friends enjoyed the King + sleeper sofa room. It was well appointed, clean, comfortable. There was plenty of room for suitcases and unpacking. It was a little loud from street noises so I slept well with ear plugs. We enjoyed the free coffee and tea in the morning and the free wine in the evening. The bed, sheets and pillows were comfortable. I liked the big drawer in the bathroom.

Two blocks from Fisherman's Wharf, a great location.Every staff member was personable, and just great, but Keith, the manager, stood out.He really made our stay wonderful, making certain that we had everything we needed. You can tell that Keith is a person who likes people.Beautiful lobby,well-decorated with plump sofas and chairs and fireplace.Very inviting.Rooms were modern, and clean, not even a dot of mildew in the spacious bathroom.Comfortable beds, quite rooms, each with coffeemaker and mini bar.Lovely courtyard view from our room.Concierge service to help you plan your sightseeing, and friendly and helpful porters. There is an airport shuttle service or a town car that you can take to the airport.Ask at the desk.
Our only complaint was the toiletries... two people in a room, and there was only one small bar of soap at the sink in the bathroom, and one shampoo, one conditioner, in the shower.Another bar of soap should have been in the shower, and two bottles of shampoo and conditioner should have been given.I called the hotel prior to arrival,to ask if lotion was included in the amenities and was told it was, however,it was not in the room.We had to ask at the desk for it.The next day, I had to ask for a second bar of soap and the other things we needed. It would have been nice if the hotel was a bit more generous with these small things that make a difference.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definately book this hotel on our next trip to San Francisco.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking the courtyard for the quietest stay.

Upon our arrival just before Christmas 2011 we were welcomed in a friendly way by Thanh at reception. A helpful and friendly porter assisted us with our luggage to the room that was found to be immaculate and clean. Although we were under the impression that we had reserved a two bedroom unit, we discovered that it contained two beds in a single room. Back at reception Thanh offered to upgrade us at a reduced rate to a room that had a separate sleeper couch in the lounge. The hotel does not have a complimentary breakfast although tea and coffee is offered in the lounge between 6:00 & 10:00. In the evenings a complimentary managers wine reception is offered where pizza slices and drinks are served in the lounge by the adjoining Café Pescatore.
This hotel is very centrally situated near all the happenings at Fishermans Warf. We were able to walk to the departure point of our tour that took us to Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. Several fast food outlets as well as the Ghirardelli Square and the cable car departure points are within walking distance. A have already recommended this hotel to a colleague.
