“I Left My Heart at St Regis”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2012

I spent the most amazing 4 nights at this stunning St Regis! From arrival to departure the entire stay was just absolutely flawless. Every employee I encountered was just thrilled to help and cared about how my stay was.

The bar scene is luxurious and vibrant. The cocktails delectable and the service top notch. The rooms are large and stunningly appointed with all the amenities you may need for your trip whether on business or pleasure.

During my stay, I experienced the hotel's spa, Remede Spa. The facilities just like the rest of this San Francisco landmark are gorgeous with fabulous amenities. In addition, my massage was probably the best I have ever had thanks to my therapist Dennis.

If travels take you to San Francisco, look no more. The St Regis will meet and exceed every expectation. You can thank me later!

For the past five years we have used the St Regis Hotel in San Francisco as the venue for our annual fundraising gala in the Bay Area. The location is ideal - just a bit south of Market Street near SFMOMA. We have experimented with a number of different rooms and configurations and the one we had this year was the best yet - a tented marquee for the cocktail reception and silent auction, a dining room for our sit-down dinner and presentation, and a couple of function rooms for event administration. The staff were very helpful in terms of assisting with audio/visual set-up and general event administration, and things went very smoothly. We also had two hotel rooms which I would definitely recommend - when people need to be there all day to set up it helps to have a place to shower and change into formal clothes for the event, and it means that the people who need to stay late to clean up don't have to drive home afterwards. The rooms are lovely - spacious with clean contemporary decor and great views over the city. After our very successful event our team retired to the bar where we enjoyed drinks and the funky fire place - a great place to unwind.

I took my boyfriend on a surprise overnight to St. Regis SF (we're locals) with a goal of staying at all of the St. Regis Resorts. We had a corner suite on a high level and the room was absolutely amazing. Check-in was a breeze and the staff members were wonderful - as they tend to be at the St. Regis'. The room had a dining room, living room, office area, large bathroom with separate deep soaking tub and large bedroom. The bed was super comfortable and the components of the room could be run off of two remotes (bedroom and desk/office). We did not utilize the butler service but did use the valet multiple times and they were wonderful. The pool was across from the spa and a very clean, nice pool for being in SF and indoors. Overall - highly recommended!

Room Tip: Corner suite on a high level - cannot be beat!

Ideally located in San Francisco, the St. Regis excels in customer service. The staff are trained to accommodate guests with a smile, and they do. Rooms are comfortable stocked and with quality amenities. The bathroom has a separate tub where one can soak and in our experience, look at the 20th floor view of the City. The hotel is ideal for a weekend getaway.
What limits the hotel from an "excellent" rating is the $50 plus tax parking fee and a $14.95 internet service charge. Hotels that continue to charge an internet fee is similar to airlines that charge for luggage.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the upper floors.

First surprise! We were upgraded to a Deluxe Room on the 13th Floor! The fact that they actually kept the 13th floor as "13" surprised us since so many hotels adhere to the old superstition.
But no matter.... we felt completely pampered while staying at the St. Regis in San Francisco. Excellent, personable, and professional service throughout. From the lobby to the doorman to the staff at the Vitrine Restaurant to the butler service!
The butler service impressed us the most! My husband forgot cufflinks for his shirt and asked to borrow some, but was told none were available at the time. Although, we had to improvise using other materials (we were running late for dinner reservations) we found a box of cufflinks in our room upon our return. They sent someone shopping at the nearby Macy's to get us some. Even though, it was too late, that kind of service was still very much appreciated! Thank you, St.Regis!

Due to the closure of the Bay Bridge, we took the BART into the city and got off at the Montgomery station. It was super easy and there was no hassle with parking. Of course, we packed light and were able to walk the few blocks to the hotel.

We loved the high end marble flooring, leather walls, and luxurious linens. We didn't hear much noise from others in the hotel room, but you could still hear the sounds of a big city below. So keep that in mind. 13th Floor was not high enough to buffer the sounds of sirens from fire engines and police trucks. But it was very quiet after midinight or so. So it is definitely a reminder - that while St. Regis SF is an amazing hotel, keep in mind that you are still in the heart of the big city.

Room Tip: Pick a room facing away from 3rd Street.
