I expected to enjoy the Exploratorium so much but left disappointed.
Maybe I am too right-brained to enjoy it. I am admittedly NOT a science fan.

We visited on an adults-only Thursday evening. We spent a fair amount of time waiting for other people to "get off" an exhibit so we could check it out. I can't imagine this place crawling with kids. It was bad enough with "adults only."

Things got repetitive, and I think you need to have a deeper appreciation for science than I do to enjoy this place. It seemed like the "coolest" exhibits were near the entrance, and as you got further into the museum, things were less interesting/exciting. Overall, I would not recommend the Exploratorium or visit again.

This attraction was so much fun! There were so many interesting and interactive displays. My son and I only had a couple of hours to explore and it was not enough time because there is so much to do! I was worried that it wouldn't hold any appeal to my teenager but I was completely wrong, this is for all ages. We are science nuts but even someone with little interest in science will thoroughly enjoy the Exploratorium.

Tips: Kids and families abound so if you want to dodge these younger visitors try the Exploratorium After Dark.

Recommendation for the Exploratorium: Because everything is so hands on, perhaps hand sanitizer stations could be set up in a few places.

This is truly a hidden jem. A summer vacation activity that was educational without the kids knowing it. Took our 9 year olds there and literally had to drag them out of there when we had to leave. There is so much to do. Very interesting experiments. It was a bit crowded with summer camps visiting, however we still enjoyed ourselves. We would choose this over the Aquarium of the Bay if we had to.

Two sets of grandparents, 2 parents and one 7-yr old had a great time on our visit today. We are all science lovers, so lots of things to fascinate and educate us all!

The Exploratorium is huge. Kids (ages 11 and 10) spent all day here, and wanted to hang out longer. There are lockers available for fifty cents (bring quarters) if you don't want to lug your heavy bags around all day. All the exhibits are interactive and well thought out, and there are a LOT of them. Most of them are located indoors in the two story building, though there are some outside as well.

The cafeteria is expensive, but we thought the food quality was good. Disappointing gift shops, the kids were looking for hoodies and shirts, but there really wasn't much of a selection.
