We went here for lunch as part of a bur excursion. So they are geared up for large groups and do a good job of moving things along. Very organized!
The place itself was plain and we all sat at long tables. The meal started with mussels and them a server told us how to open a lobster (yes there is a proper way of doing it). When the lobsters were ready, we were invited to the other room to watch them open the cooking container. Then we lined up to get our lobster, corn on the cob, steamed potato and more mussels. There was also bread and coleslaw. For dessert, blueberry cake. Drinks were set up at a bar........free ones at one bar and pay at another.
Oh, yes, they do have restrooms.

As part of our tour of the Acadia National Park we stopped into this restaurant for lobster. The staff was super organized but we never felt rushed. The starter was a bowl full of PEI blue mussels and they were delicious. The lunch was very filling with lobster (yup I learned how to crack and eat it), more mussels, corn on the cob and a very delicious slaw. I was stuffed!!! Seeing the national park was a real treat topped off by this absolutely regional lunch. We'll done!

This restaurant was included on a cruise excursion to Acadia National Park. Need to confess that it really impressed me. No because of the luxury. But because the simplicity, the traditions, the lobsters, the services and the amazing good vibrations of this place that made me feel like in a magic place.

Do not miss it when visiting to Bar Harbor, ME

This restaurant only opens for buses coming through so our tour guide asked us, when on the way there, to pick between lobster or steak. I picked steak as I am not a 'shell fish fan'. We arrived with a whole bus load plus another bus arrived right after us. They were set up for it & it was so smoothly done! My steak was great & so were the side dishes that we could pick from. My husband & friends had lobster & absolutely LOVED it. It was a good and fun time with great service and food.

We ate here as part of a large group on a tour. This place was amazing. We were served mussels, whole lobster, potatoes, cole slaw, corn, tea, and dessert. The food was delicious, the workers were helpful, and the restaurant was clean. They tell you ahead of time that they only serve groups of 25 or more. Their cooking equipment is large and would not be effective cooking for only a few people.
