What most people go to Dong Yan Inn for is their meat chun. If you don't know what that is, it's thin slices of meat that's in an egg batter then fried. I've tried meat chun at many other places, but no where can you find a better meat chun than at Dong Yang. What makes theirs better is that the meat is so tender and the egg batter is tasty and you get a lot for $9.50. You also get a chicken broth soup, won bok kim chee and head cabbage kim chee as starters, then with your plate you'll get beansprouts, salted cabbage, and potato salad. There's lots of other things on their menu, but their meat chun is what they're known for.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is terrible. They're good food is what brings people to Dong Yang, not the ambiance. The interior is really in need of a remodel. The floors are worn and dirty, the walls are dirty, and there's cardboard by the rear door to soak up any water that may have seeped in from the outside. So if you can overlook the filth, you'll enjoy the food.
