My brother came to visit me and I wanted to take him on outrigger. Alika was our guide, and what an awesome job he did. Very knowledgeable of Kailua/Hawaii/Outriggers. We showed up at 8am and the three of us paddled out to the Mokes in about 30 minutes. Whether it is your first time in a canoe or your 20th time, you are guaranteed a good time. You will learn about Kailua/Hawaiian geography, surf waves, and take in some of the best views all of Hawaii has to offer. Much mahalos Alika and Aloha Canoe Adventures.

We had a group of young adult to over 60's, paddling to the Mokulua Islands in two canoes. If you bring a waterproof camera you can take photos from the canoe, otherwise you place your phone or camera, keys or other valuables in the waterproof bag in the canoe, and take photos from Moku Nui. Alika, Jojo, Trey and Patrick were excellent guides, giving some interesting history of the area and answering our questions during breaks from paddling. They guided us into the water, paddling and safely onto the island, between waves. The views were spectacular, and our guides took amazing photos of us on the island. We went on a weekday which was delightful and less crowded than a weekend, and had some ice cold water and snacks for refreshment. On the return trip we caught a few swells in the canoe, near Popoia Island, which was a thrill. I would recommended this adventure, but suggest you wear a rash guard, reef walkers or other waterproof shoes, hat and other sun protection! We came away with wonderful memories from Aloha Canoe adventures.

A bunch of friends and I decided to do the tour of the islands you can see from Lanikai and Kailua. The paddle was only 20 minutes and wasn't too tiring. The water was crystal clear and there were several turtles along the way apparently but I missed them. Alika our guide told us a few little stories and points of interest along our paddle. Once we reached the Island, we wandered around the backside and jumped into the tide pools and relaxed while some others did a little further exploring. We hung out on the Island for quite a while and our guides were in no rush to go back which was cool. We tried to catch a few waves on the way back and then cruised back to Kailua before helping our guides carry the canoe back to the canal. For my first time in an outrigger canoe it was a pretty good morning!
