Owner description: Named “Top 10 Aquariums in the World” by TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards, Maui Ocean Center is the premier destination to encounter and learn about Hawaii’s marine life. Home to one of the world’s largest displays of live Pacific corals, the Aquarium exhibits only marine life found in Hawaiian waters including tropical fish, sea turtles, sharks, stingrays, octopuses, sea jellies, and more. The Aquarium highlights the beauty of Hawaii’s undersea world while perpetuating the deep connection between the Hawaiian people and the sea. The Aquarium’s mission is to foster understanding, wonder, and respect for Hawaii’s marine life.

We've been to a few aquariums in Europe and the US and this aquarium by far surpasses them all by a million! It has a variety of lots of different fish and is very educational. Our children loved it and we spent a good two hours in there, as our kids were engrossed in reading all the information. It's great for adults and children! Highly recommend it.

We had a great time and the kids really enjoyed everything! It was great to have a pond with creatures you can touch.

We had one rainy day on our trip so we went to the aquarium. It turned out much of it was outside. Pretty small, we went through it all in an hour, which considering the price, felt like a ripoff.

Much better than I expected! I got to see so many fish that I have and have not encountered while snorkeling. Lots of information on all species of marine life, pleasant walk some exhibits in and out of doors, but always protected or in a building. Order tickets head on line and get the discount and show your confirmation on your phone when entering. There are refreshments and an excellent gift shop. There is going to be a new addition in it's future featuring 3-D whales, I think. Can't wait!

The jellyfish were dramatic and very cool. The large aquarium presentation was fascinating when they fed the huge sting rays, but it was difficult to understand the diver through her microphone. Would have been better hearing the guy in the room speak about the fish. Also, the show turned into a longwinded advertisement for people to dive into the aquarium for a price. They completely lost the crowd. The size of the aquarium was unimpressive and would be better if they had seals, beluga whales, or any big animal.
