We came into this store out of curiosity because there were many fruit vendors next to it. We were impressed to find so many food products to buy, but more importantly the large shave ice section. They offered many varieties and the staff were very friendly. We ordered different flavors blended together. They were really good with generous sizes just as shave should be. :-) The location is ideal as it is right off the scenic road so it is an easy quick stop. It is also a great place to stop before or after you visit the Olowalu Petroglyphs.

The general store is right next to Leoda's on the road to Lahaina. Typical old style mom and pops general store. We picked up some spam Musubi and a bunch of home made chicharon (pork rinds). They also had hot dogs and other hot foods but we weren't that hungry. The Musubi were tasty but a little small. The big winner was the chicharon. Way better than the bagged ones you get at the grocery store. I ate one bag while on our flight back home.

Lots of different things in the store. Local made products, souvenirs, shave ice, hot food, fishing supplies and water toys to name just a few. Great stop on the way to the beach or on the way back. There's some outdoor seating as well and lots of parking on both sides of the store.

It is a small convenience store with a variety of items. They have a penny crusher machine as well! Friendly service too!

We stopped into Olowalu General Store for grab-and-go lunch several times while in Maui. It's well worth it! Also, this is simply an easy stop in a very scenic area next to a good fruit stand and across from the beach, and the souvenirs and gifts are generally tasteful. They have good, fresh pre-pack sandwiches for normal sorts of prices, small bentos in a hot food area (which I did not try; I liked their sandwiches), and fantastic and HUGE shave ice that was really the second best we had in Hawaii -- the first being Ulalani's, but this being a fine second that I highly recommend. Outside seating is good. The customer service is *very* friendly if you go more than once, so that was a real bonus.

Also, it seems clean and honest. A good little local shop which is no hassle. Remember to ask for mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise for your sandwich behind the counter though.
