We just got home from staying a week at the Valley Isle Resort. We were on the 9th floor and had a gorgeous view of the ocean from our living room and bedroom. It was very clean and quiet and we loved hearing the ocean at night. Cannot wait to go back. Our only regret is that we didn't book for two weeks!!

Room Tip: Higher rooms get a good breeze. There is a fan in the unit to help circulate air if needed.

Aloha Jeff,

We are so happy that you enjoyed your time at Valley Isle Resort. We understand many of our guests are not ready to leave when the time comes.

We'll keep the water warm and the grounds tropical for you. Come on back when you can.

Smiles

When we booked we were told there is an AC in the unit, but after we checked in there was no AC, as soon we got into the unit there was water everywhere, we found out that the toilet was overflowing It looked like the management did not check the unit before we checked in. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working, and there were ants in the kitchen and on the terrace. I called the office the lady told me the manager would call me, but I never received any call from anyone.

Room Tip: the view is great

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at #404 Valley Isle Resort. The location right on the beach was sublime! We went to sleep and awoke to the sounds of the palm trees swaying and the ocean waves crashing. It felt like we were in a treehouse! The lanai was lovely and ideal for a light breakfast or glass of wine. Debbie thought of everything ~ beach chairs, towels, pool noodles and more. We would love to return to beautiful Maui and #404!

Beautiful location but incredibly loud on first floor A 104 with 1,000 kids yelling till 10:30, both in front of our room and at next door resort. We couldn't shut out sliders or front door due to extreme temperatures, so we just gave up on a tranquil visit, let alone a good night's sleep.

Aloha Hollymoff,

We do not have a Floor A 104 at Valley Isle Resort, so I am somewhat confused. I did check with the General Manager who lives on the property, so he would be there at night. It is his job to keep it quiet during quiet times at the resort. We didn't have 1,000 kids yelling until 10:30 either so that is why I question whether you have the correct resort? Either way, we would not allow that.

Anywhere on any Hawaiian beach, any islanders or guests are allowed. The beaches belong to the people. There may be a private walk that you cannot go on, but the beaches belong to anyone. However, our security guard or our general manager would ask loud kids that loud if they would be quiet. We don't usually have kids on the beach that late anyway. At most, we may have a couple sitting on the beach looking at the stars and listening to the waves.

I am on the site quite frequently, and we are a very quiet resort, mostly all of the time.

I hope this helps, and I am sorry you had an issue with noise.

Aloha,

Jan Shields

We arrived at Valley Isle Resort Friday night and a fun gal checked us in.Our room was 1102, very clean with Polynesian decor. It had everything we needed. The view was spectacular. We left everything open 24/7 to enjoy the breeze and the sound of the waves. We had a couple of sea turtles swimming right in front of the lanai the entire time we were there. The grounds are immaculate!! They are constantly cleaning and updating this place! We enjoyed using their grills and fresh herbs from the garden. I truly did not want to leave this place. When we weren't out doing something we would just relax on the lanai. Due to the trade winds it's so much more comfortable than south of here.

Room Tip: Every room is ocean front, 4th floor and up have clear views. Leave the slider, window, and front door open 24/7 for the breeze and waves.

Aloha,

Yes, our beautiful trade winds are wonderful! The West Maui Mountains are one of the rainiest places on earth. Down oceanfront, where the condos are, it is sunny! Just look up to the West Maui Mountains about 4 or 5 p.m. every day and see the rainbows and double rainbows caused by our sunshine shining up on the water droplets of the mountains. Once the trades get through the top of the mountains, the mountain rain cools them off. Valley Isle Resort owners like the fact that we do not have to be locked inside air conditioning but can have trades blow through the condos. It is great to hear the ocean from the condo and smell the tropical flowers. The best, for sure! You are correct though, further south you would want a room with air conditioning.

Aloha,
