So so resort on a nice portion of beach. Staff were pleasant enough but nothing special. This resort is just average in every sense. It’s prime selling point is that it is on the nicest end of the beach (but also the most crowded). Won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend to friends or family. Prefer Wailea.

This is not just a great place to stay, it is a great place to play! Everything you could wish for is right here on property. The pool is huge, the beach is the best on the island, Black Rock is there to jump off of, scuba diving and snorkeling are available right on property and the restaurants are great. The service is second to none and the property is kept clean and manicured to the standards that mane Kanapali Beach the Hawaiian destination of choice.

Room Tip: Ask about upgrade availability on check-in

We ate at the Pool Grille. Some items were very good, others not so good. Very good: appetizer: pulled pork nachos (Excellent!), dinner/ lunch: burgers (very tasty). Not so good, pork sandwich. we thought it would be the same as the pulled pork nachos but it was in a different sauce, not very tasty at all. Overall, an OK meal. We ate here for dinner, letting our kids take a quick swim in the pool while we waited. The pool was very crowded with kids even at 5:00. No one wore wrist bands (at least the time we were there). It seems like a nice pool but it looks like it gets very crowded. The water was a perfect temperature.

Returned to our favorite resort to find wonderful updates to the property. Our usual stay in oceanfront deluxe room in Moana building next to Black Rock made even better with placement in room 6201, the best non suite room they have. On backside of Black Rock overlooking a fish, turtle filled cove and with a view of the whole Kaanapali Beach!

Service still top notch for our 6th stay at this beautiful resort ( except for poolside where a server ignored us for 2 days straight). Noah at the front desk to be commended for exceptional service our whole stay. Poolside food predictably expensive. Grab breakfast and lunches at CJ’a Deli just up the hill from the Sheraton for a third the cost:) pretty sure we will remain life long patrons of this great resort and highly recommend people consider staying here.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton and the staff was great, drinks were ok, and proximity to beach and some activities was really nice. Accommodations are as expected and the view is Maui, so come on, you can’t go wrong!

Probably the best thing about staying here is that we got free breakfast which was awesome! Snorkeling also is pretty good for just coming off the beach and the cliff diving is cool, except kids were doing it long before the actual ceremony started. I expected a little more from ceremony. Also I would not recommend the luau unless you are just really bored. Check out the Old Lahaina Luau, it is awesome and worth the money!

Now here is my overall take on it. If you want a moderately priced resort on a beautiful beach this is a good spot. If you want a luxury resort then keep looking. Personally we did not stay on the property much because we liked exploring the whole island. We went to a different beach and different activity every day. I would give up a beachside hotel for more money
in my pocket for other activities next time!
