Finally good food on Maui! Our family cleaned out plates! We shared several items and it was all tasty. We had the curry chicken, the hamburger, the acai bowl, green smoothies, fruit smoothie, and the frozen strawberry lemonade drink. Yum. All of it. And the ladies working the truck were awesome & pleasant. They told us to enjoy our lunch at the umbrella shaded tables along the river behind them, which we did. Great experience. So relaxing. We will return later this week after visiting Honolua Bay again.

Stumbled on this little lunch and smoothy stand as we were driving out to the Nakalele Blowhole. You round a curve far from any town and suddenly there is a brightly colored food trailer and a lot of cars parked all about. We had to stop and check it out. We all had a smoothy-they were very good but it is pretty hard to mess up a smoothy- but like a lot of eats/drinks in Hawaii, a bit pricey. The lunches we saw coming out looked pretty awesome but we did not sample any of the food. We took the beautiful hiking trail (approx a half mile tops) down to Honolua Bay (right across the highway) with our drinks and it turned the "quick stop" into a nice adventure on our trek to the Blowhole. Don't pass it by!

This is so out of the way that you don't expect it. It's just on the side of the road. It is the only place close to get something to drink. If you need something, get it here.

Acai bowel and hamburger. The hamburger on a ciabatta bun was amazing! Was not expecting it, but ended up being the best burger on the island we tried.

We stopped by for lunch on our way back from the Nakalele Blowhole. It's a perfect place to stop and walk down to the beach through the 'jungle' on the West side of Maui. The owner, John Carty showed real attention to detail and served up a great, organic free-range burger with grilled onions. My wife enjoyed her acai bowl and John came over after our meal to give our kids a cup full of animal crackers and explain how all the trash is either recycled or composted... and he's all solar powered!
