The landscaping and pool were nice. The hotel beach was quite a walk from my room. The room was an efficiency, close to a good general store. Only problem was the bathroom, which smelled as though somebody had not cleaned it. After a day of this I asked housekeeping to come and clean it properly, but afterward it still smelled, leading me to believe they were using a bad smelling cleaner. Truth is the bathroom smelled like urine after two days. Not Mr Clean lemony fresh.

Great location, only a short walk to Kaanapali beach through the Sheraton hotel
The accommodation inside is lovely (J200 via VBRO) and really well done out with everything you could possibly need and a perfect view over the golf course but the resort is very 1970 and looking a tad drab to say the least
Cars can’t access the accommodation directly and there is a wait if around 20 mins for the golf cart so either be patient or be prepared to cart your luggage up to 60-70m !
The golf course cannot be walked over contrary to the apartment owners advice so it’s about 10-15 mins from the beach
Definitely take a trip to the Nakaleli blow hole if you get chance and of course the road to Hana ( Valley Isle Excursions). We also did a sunset cruise ( via Viator) which was perfect.
Makena Beach is an hours drive south - great for snorkelling (Turtles at very close range!)

Avoid staying here. Musty, damp room (room J107). Old hotel. No Hawaiian spirit. My family and I felt like outsiders. It seems there are a lot of residents who live here and know each other, there is no welcoming feel from other vacationers and the staff (except for check in/ check out). Our room was on the ground floor, a lot of bugs outside including a 5 inch centipede (no joke!) and huge preying mantis, etc. I found one roach and one baby gecko in our room (dead), but that was it. The bed was uncomfortable, no quilt and limited blankets/ covers. the A/C was on maximum blast and temperature was low (60 degrees) and still was too warm. the curtains were not black out curtains, and we woke each morning at 6:15 to bright sunshine. Not too far from the beach, though a walk at night is dangerous (no lights, have fun getting wet by the golf course sprinklers!), steep decline on beach. The bungalow on the beach is nice, but everyone who stays there knows each other and we were not made to feel welcome even by the staff (go there at 9:30 and said 'good morning!!', only to be greeted by a stare. Large, whale pool complex was a total waste of space. I wonder who decided to put a pool on top of the parking garage????There are other nicer hotels to stay in. Avoid this hotel, it is not worth it.

Walking distance to a stunning beach, like it's your own backyard. The condo is beautifully set and decorated for zen vacation. My teenagers fell in love with it too. Over looking a golf course. Very clean and pristine.

This was a great place to stay! Very inexpensive, clean, and great location. The place provided beach chairs, towels, cooler, and boogie boards which was a wonderful surprise. We have already recommended Maui Eldorado to several of our friends.
