We went in seatch of poke and wetent disappointed. The fish was fresh, flavorful and plentiful. But what was surprising was their fresh fish and chips. The batter for the fish was very crispy and the fish was fresh and flaky.

Great poke, didn't try anything else. Visited on a weekday afternoon and there were customers coming and going. Located away from touristy spots, but convenient to the Kihei area

My mother purchased Walu with a suggestion to cook it thoroughly. When she asked the sales person the reason to cook it thoroughly, the sales person did not know why (btw, it is unclear from basic google search that cooking it thoroughly does anything to mitigate the unfavorable experiences one might have following ingestion of Walu). Fortunately, this warning was enough for us to do a basic search in which we discovered the very unpleasant risks associated with eating this fish. It seems only responsible that a warning be present with a fish that is ban by the Japanese government and spoils many people’s vacations. I think one writer said it best Walu=poopypantsfish. It would be best if their salespeople were informed of the risks and caution those of us that don’t know better.
