What a wonderful place to stay in Hana! My husband and I had never been to that side of the island before, and boy were we blown away. Dale was a wonderful host, and we found this place to be as charming as any bed and breakfast (but sans breakfast).

We stayed in the small upper room that had a small fridge and a cute folding table. It was the perfect home base for our adventures in Hana. Dale made wonderful recommendations for activities and restaurants, and there was a binder in the room that listed every possible activity you could dream of in Hana. The bathroom was beautiful and wonderfully decorated with local art. Excellent wifi and the TV even let you use (your own) Netflix! Not that anyone in their right mind would watch Netflix while vacationing in Hana.

10/10 would stay here again!

My wife and I rented the unit for 3 nights after 5 nights on the west side. The studio unit is very clean and has plenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable. We really enjoyed staying on the east side of Maui because you can beat the day trippers to the hikes and beaches. We cooked on the porch grill and took Dale's recommendation to have pizza at Hana Farms on Sat night. We would recommend to friends and absolutely stay again.

“Exotic jungle stay”

We decided to spend three nights exploring around Hana.
We are glad we did because it meant that we could enjoy all the wonderful places without rushing.
The apartment was clean and had every amenity needed.
The backyard was jungle. We were able to cook for ourselves. A good tip would be to bring your food from supermarket as the general store does not stock much.
We were lucky to find a new food van selling Mahi Mahi burgers which were so delicious we bought them the next day too.
Plenty of fresh fruit stalls.

“Many advantages of staying at Hevenly”

The value in staying in Hana is getting to know the area better. The alternative is to drive all the way back. We decided to stay here for two days.

Heavenly Hana is close to town and very convenient to many of the activities of the area. Our room was cozy, clean and comfortable. What I understand, there are two rooms: one upstairs and one downstairs. We stayed downstairs.

Dale Parsons’s, his son and wife all gave us good tips for the area. As an ex-New Yorker for twenty-five years, Dale and his family have settled into the life-style of Hanna. It is definitely quiet here.

In the morning there were many birds chirping away. In the daytime you can spot a mongoose or two in the yard. You many even spot “Lucy,” the chicken. There are two cats, but they will leave you alone.

The price is reasonable considering “it is Hana.” There are several places that charge a lot more.

My wife thought the bed could be more comfortable. I thought it was just right. She also did not like the “hot plate.” She doesn’t trust them. The refrigerator and microwave are perfect. There is no AC, but you really did not need it. There is a strong fan in the apartment.

The bathroom, though, is exceptional. You actually walk up several stairs. It is large and accommodating. The Parsons outfitted the bathroom with all the toiletries.

Located right off the main highway, Heavenly Hanna It is a bit funky going down a gravel and dirt driveway. You have to be careful when you leave, as there can be traffic both ways.

We stayed for two nights. We got to know Hana better than just driving through. We did stop at Mile Marker 7 to see the “Rainbow Eucalyptus” trees. The “Black Beach” at Waianapanapa State Park is definitely worth a picture.

One of our highlights was to walk up Fagan’s Cross right opposite Travaasa Hana Resort. The 545 foot hill is a puffer, but well worth the views. Don’t miss Pipiwai Trail and if you have time, stop and see the Charles A. Lindbergh burial site.

Overall, Heavenly Hanna is a pleasant stay and the Parson’s family very friendly and accommodating.

“Exactly as Described”

Very rarely do you stay anywhere so true to the pictures and descriptions provided by management - this place is truly a gem. Enjoy the road to Hana at your leisure without rushing to the end, check in here, and head down to the attractions past Hana the next day. This location puts you within minutes of Waianpanapa State Park, Hamoa Beach, Oheo Gulch / 7 Sacred Pools, and the Pipiwai Trail.

The room is clean, modern, and quiet. The family that owns the property lives upstairs, but we didn't hear one peep out of them. Don't let the lack of A/C scare you off from this property, or any other on Maui, the night breezes and fans will leave you cool enough.

We hope to be back some day!
