Best Mai Tai I had all week. We made our reservation before we left home, as my brother recommended the place very highly. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. The photographer signed people up ahead of time, and then we went out at sunset. She came by with options on an iPad later and delivered by e-mail before we got to the hotel. Loved the photo and it was cheaper than I expected. All in all, a very pleasant evening.

We've been going to the Beach House restaurant for years.. Sorry to say it was very disappointing. The food was tasteless and we could tell the chef is not tasting the food he is cooking. If you want to spend hundreds of dollars to watch the sun set then go. If you only want to see the sunset take a picnic and go to the beach park and watch it.
Service is not what it used to be and the food is overpriced and nothing special. I couldn't even finish my dinner.. My husband's was not good either. It used to be such a good place to dine out and now I know why the locals don't go there anymore. Try someplace else on the south shore. It's all hype these days. Banking of the unknowing tourist who wont be back.

We are so glad we made a reservation minutes before one of the most stunning sunset dining experiences we have ever had in any of the islands of Hawaii. While we were seated at a table closest to the beach I don't believe there is a bad table in the restaurant. A very romantic and relaxing experience. The food was sensational and the service first class. Easy to find and close to a number of south shore attractions such as Spouting Horn and Allerton Gardens. Choose any local seafood offerings and you will not be disappointed. NIce wine selection and perfect Mai Tai's too. Don't miss this restaurant if you are going to Kauai.

Second visit matching our second trip to Kauai. The restaurant has a gorgeous sunset location. Except they seem to dive families in the crappy tables in the back. Both visits, and the hostess was rude when we complained (we booked this reservation far in advance so as to get a good seat).

The other crappy tables were all families too.

The food was average to good, but weak for the value. And a mule belongs in a copper mug.

We'd waited 90 minutes before our dinners finally arrived! Two entres were over done and had to be sent back to the kitchen (when you pay $48 for a ribeye steak dinner and ask for it med-rare...you bet your bottom dollar it's going to be sent back when it arrives well-done!!). One person in our party of four got something totally different from what she'd ordered but because we'd waited 90 minutes for our food...she was starving and kept the entre instead of sending it back to the kitchen. $48 for a small ribeye, soggy French fries (from steak juice) and 3 stalks of asparagus??!! We had read mixed reviews for this place but decided to try it anyway and boy was it a miss!! Definitely not a hit!
