We had breakfast at Little Fish Cafe two of our four mornings on Kauai. The "cafe" is a small shack with deck/bar style seating and we took our breakfast to go each morning.

The espresso based drinks were very good the one day we had them (a Jitter Bug frozen espresso and a Maui and Kauai pour over coffee). Unfortunately, on our second day, the espresso machine was down. We also enjoyed breakfast bagels consisting of egg frittata, tomato and cream cheese. Finally, we had two different types of Acai bowels consisting of coconut, nuts, frozen yogurt, granola, chocolate chips, pineapple, blueberries and peanut butter depending on the variety you chose.

A very good and filling breakfast spot. Expect to pay typical island prices and the cafe does accept credit card.

Seating is limited and often in bright sun so you might want to take your food to go.

Really cute place - it will catch your eye as you drive past. Really good smoothies! Nice place to chill after a morning walk.

We ate here four mornings in a row during our (four day!) stay in Kauai. Encountering so many ‘heavy’ and/or expensive breakfast options during our holiday, Little Fish Coffee was an awesome find. Definitely try the acai bowls, both the acai blend and the granola they use are really tasty. Our favourite was the Pakala bowl.

There are some seats there, as well as some picnic tables out front, although they can package whatever you order to go if you want to takeaway. It can get crowded in the mornings and you might have to wait – but it’s worth it. Parking spots around the back or on the side of the street, or an easy walk from the waterfront resorts in Poipu.

We ate here every morning during out stay in Poipu. There have a variety of smoothies, bowls, bagels and sandwiches, plus delicious coffee and tea. We tried the garden bagel, breakfast bagel, the PK bowl, and the Jitterbug smoothie. We loved the Ka'u coffee and the passionfruit black iced tea. Don't expect to "run in" and grab something as there is almost always a line and a wait for your food, but it's worth it. If you're in a hurry you can call in your order.

Such a great place, try the plaka bowl with peanut butter. Berry smoothie is delicious. Super busy though by 9am. Waited a while for a smoothie.
