The only disappointment here was that we went on our last night and couldn't visit again until our next trip. EVERTHING was OUTSTANDING and the service top notch! And, best of all almost every item is gluten free...….and organic and menu items are purchased locally. Alittle pricey but well worth it. Returning again on next trip and can't wait!

I,like many people had high hopes when researching this restaurant on TRIP ADVISOR.To me,dinning is the complete package. Was the experience worthwhile and worth the money. The parking, the ambiance, the service, the music, the food(taste and portion) ,its everything we regard as memorable and pleasant that keeps us wanting to return.I found little to celebrate here.
Parking........Good luck! The restaurant shares store fronts and the parking lot is tiny.Even with reservations we could not park in its lot.And the street out front is quite busy so you could spend time looking as we did and risk tickets.
The ambiance........Zero.
We were shuffled onto a back patio with no AC,no rugs ,no tile .No hawaii-anna decor whatsoever,No placemats,Not even a flower on the table(We were in hawaii for Gods sake!)Nothing. If music played i could not hear it.I may have well been in someones basement for all the lack of any thing remotely attractive. No rolls ,bread, etc.
Our wobbly cafeteria style table wobbled so bad we had to fix it ourselves so our waters wouldnt fall over .
The Food........Presentation=8.Quite pretty and photographical .
Portion..................3.If you weigh 100 lbs and eat like a bird this is your type of place. But,if your a person with a big appetite you will be disappointed.
The peculiar pupu platters and pre-entee section left alot to be desired ,so..if you do not choose one of these you entree comes fish/2 carrots/ 3 aspargas period.
All deserst are 10$ no matter what.banana creme pie(they grow bananas here) still 10 dollars. We chose the apple cobbler which was of childlike proportions)
The service was good. The inner dinning room was so loud(sports bar loud) that the one waitress told us she didnt want to go back in because of all the noise!
After paying my 100 dollar check ,we drove back to our hotel looking for a place to eat.
So....if you like your food pretty and choose looks over satisfying your appetite, you may enjoy yourself. But,If your a big eater who wants ambiance and quiet to connect with your partner and savour a great dinning experience then Id recommend Keioki's paradise.Alot of parking, great live slack key music, waterfalls, mood lighting and man sized portions of great tasting dishes. You feel like your eating in Kauai here.
Jo2 was a BIg disappointing 100 dollar dud. Rick From pa. 28May2018

Set back in a shopping center in kapa'a jo2 cooks some very nice plates. I loved the ceviche/sashimi combo and the duck confit with kale. Service was a bit uneven but staff was very friendly. Desserts could have been more interesting ...

There is so much that is unusual on this menu that we ordered way too much. All of it was amazing. There are meats and fish and great vegan and vegetarian dishes as well. The service was great. Very friendly and helpful. Good wine and drink menus as well. If we had found this place earlier in our trip we would definitely have gone back.

Cute place. We had reservations and was happy to be sat immediately. We were sat at a family booth on the covered patio in the back of the restaurant. Love the plateware, silverware, and glassware. Service was good. She was helpful and friendly. The pacing was a bit odd but worked out. The portions were surprisingly generous. Sometimes with pretty food the portions are tiny, but not here.
The three course price fixed menu is a good option. Two choices for each course ($35) and the option of a wine paring (+$10). And your party can mix and match (some off the regular menu and some price fixe).
The Thai muffins were good. Light and fluffy with some spice. Everyone liked the grilled octopus- nice char and it looked beautiful. The tomato and beet with greens was just okay - needed dressing or salt or something. The tomato sampler was light and fresh (I loved the avocado cream). Entrees were all enjoyed. The scallops and risotto were described as the best scallops ever. The dessert all sounded good. We tried the bread pudding (the chocolate was so good in the pudding), the banana cream pie (good not great, sometime the original is better than a deconstructed version), and the molten cake.
The drinks were so good and creative. The green goodness was spicy and delicious. Nice wine and port options.
Overall a very tasty meal in Kauai!
