We had reservations and assume we were going to eat at the table with the chef cooking before us... when we got there none of the tables were being used and hostess said they were all reserved, but none for and hour and a half! We were offered a regular table instead and accepted it. Our waiter was great and food was good but the whole time we were there no one ever came to the chef tables!

My wife also questioned the wine as authentically Sonoma-Cutrer even prior to seeing the above post. Thus, perhaps they're not serving what's advertised. She regrets not questioning the source. Skip the rainbow roll. Tiny pieces of fish, especially for the crazy high price. Today, I had a $6 mai tai at happy hour at the Lava Lava beach house-light years better and a 1/3 the price. This place sucks!

We ate at Imari last night for dinner and had a wonderful meal. The setting is tranquil and beautiful if you sit near the windows. Here are two tips:

1. The portions are large and varied with a very nice mix of flavors for the discerning palette.

2. It is pricey. Dinner for two was over $100 as I had the steak and my wife had the fish special.

See other post on Hilton hotel about the wine for a full description but this place either stores their wine badly or is pouring bad wine when you order and pay for good wine.

We loved our visit to Imari. The atmosphere was intimate, slightly outdated, but nice.

Their sushi menu was creative and the sushi was so fresh and good. Great presentation as well.

It is a little pricey, but the convenience of being on site at the resort made it worthwhile for us.
