Absolutely a great place to stay for vacation! I would book this resort again with no questions asked! The pools are very nice and the property clean. Fun for both adults and children. There is a pool specifically for adults who don't want to be around children. Maid Service is not scheduled daily, they don't clean your room every day but if you need anything- they are only a phone call away with quick friendly service. Full Kitchen with Dining table and BBQ Grills outside for anyone to use.

The room we stayed in was beautiful, spacious, clean, peaceful and just over all well thought out for guests' comfort. Truthfully it was hard to leave and we would definitely stay here again in a heart beat!

We visited the Big Island from Oahu. It was fun to play tourist for a week. We got a one bedroom. The kitchen was smaller than most time shares we stay at but it was adequate for our use. The location was perfect for us. Easy in and out access to the main road to sight see the Big Island. The pools were fun the large one by the main building and the smaller pool by our hotel. We didn't visit the Hilton Hotel near by...too much fun going around the island. We visited Hilo twice....about 1 1/2 hour via the Inouye road (Saddle road). Overall had a great visit. Will come again.

If you want to golf, eat, and swim this is a great place. We scuba dive and chose to dive with Pacific Rim Divers - a 20+ mile drive at 6:45 a.m. Ugh. The other fun things to do - like hang out on the waterfront in Kona are even further. You can get something to eat at the restaurants on property but they have very limited hours. We tried to eat at the restaurant at the golf club (Mai Grille) and it had closed for dinner from September to November - and the second time they were closed there was no sign explaining why (but they looked like they were setting up for a private event).

Our room (building 24, room 205) was very nice - had a bidet and awesome shower). However, the air conditioning was set to come on only when someone was walking around (motion activated) so even though we set it to 69 degrees our room was 77 every day we came home from diving and would settle around 75 at night. I had to go wave my hand in front of the thermostat in the middle of the night to turn the A/C back on! I'm sure there's an easy fix for this but I didn't call the front desk. Also, the shower door caught on the bottom edge as you open it and I pulled my back one morning getting into the shower. (I let the staff know about it, so hopefully it's fixed already).

Make a grocery run before you head to the property. In Kailua-Kona there is a Costco, Walmart and Target. Not much when you get close to the property (unless you want to overspend). There is a CVS within Target - not 24 hours - in case you need something.

As you head north to the property there is a lava tube on the right side of the road (east). We had so much fun checking it out and it cost ZERO dollars. On the opposite side of the road (not directly across) you will see an entrance to Kekaha Kai Beach Park. You can drive nearly to the beach - you'll need a vehicle that can handle rough roads - and then walk down to a very pretty beach. Also costs ZERO dollars and lots of fun. (and they have restrooms at the beach)

Also, if you want to purchase a real lei they sell them out of a soda cooler near the gift shop at the airport for $14. The same leis are $19 at Target.

Tl:dr - great room - far from things to do other than golf - not a good selection of restaurants. Get your groceries before you head north to the property.

Room tip: Ask for a room that faces the golf course - you might get to see the goats too!

We stayed in building 21 across the street from the club house the room was clean, well equipped. We took our 8 yo granddaughter with and we all had a blast. This place is much better then the village including the pool much better. It does not have a view of the ocean but the grounds are very nice and clean. I also liked the closeness of the parking. We will return and stay here.

Room tip: Close to the big pool is the place to be.
