What a beautiful spot to relax, enjoy some quiet family time and a perfect base from which to explore the Volcano National Park! Sharon was a wonderful and attentive host who also greeted us with a warm smile, tour of the gorgeous home and a delicious loaf of her homemade macadamia nut/banana bread. This home surpassed our expectations and got our vacation off to a fantastic start. We hope to return on our next stay to the big island and can not recommend it highly enough to those considering a stay. You will not be disappointed!

Room Tip: Private home best described as a luxury villa in a very private and peaceful setting.

Beautiful and spacious. Great appliances and furnishings. Very close to Volcano National Park and centrally located to visit most of island. Excellent property to just relax. We had ample space for family of five with teenagers. We all had a different sections of house with our own Kuerig! Video security system too. Our only wish would be for better wifi.

Our family of 4 stayed at this wonderful location. Many to choose from and this one is the best. This home has everything you can think of for any family. Highly recommend staying here. We will come back again very soon. Thank you for the amazing hospitality. Just to say a few reasons on why this is a great location one it is peaceful, relaxing, close to many attractions, the home, and landscaping are amazing, and well kept. The owner takes much pride in this home. I can go on and on. If you want to discover Hawaii this is a great way to do so.

Room Tip: Feels like home not a resort or a hotel.

Sharon took great care of us. She made us the most amazing breakfast ever. Construction was completed earlier this year so they probably have not had a lot of reviews because they are new. They have thought of everything. The woodwork is amazing. The location is about 2 miles from the entrance to Hawaii Volcano National Park. A trip to Hilo is a must as well. They have the best farmers market. The produce and coffee on this island are amazing.

I highly recommend this lodge for those who would like to see the Kilauae restless Volcano in Hilo. It is a short drive from this property. The owner's Rob and his mother Sharon are very good. Sharon provided what we needed for breakfast the next morning. This place is very neat and peaceful. If you cannot hire the whole property you can hire part of it. It has a standrby generator and more you will need.

Room Tip: Will save you a lot of money if the Kilauae Volcano is what you want to see. If the weather is foggy and you cannot see the flames of the eruption, come and sleep. At 4:30 a.m get up and drive to the Thomas Jaggar Museum for a wonderful Kilauae eruption.
