Perfect activity for a rainy day and better than expected. It was suggested that we start off with a temporary exhibit by high school students on endangered species. It was interesting to see young artists work and we actually learned a lot on the subject with the brief accompanying descriptions! The art in the main gallery is thoughtfully displayed and there is some info on featured artists also. When we got to the end of the small art pieces gallery there was a telescope set up to look at the Elk Preserve across the street, so that was an extra treat. The large lobby area is open and airy with some sculptures, we also enjoyed the large wildlife sculptures outside. There is also a restaurant, we didn’t eat at but it looked pretty decent to grab a bite to eat.

Hi,

Thank you so much for writing a review about your visit with us at the Museum! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the temporary exhibitions - especially the artwork by local high school students. Our education department is always collaborating with local schools on projects to engage students with artwork. The current Endangered Species exhibition is great for inspiring thought and conversation about endangered animals! Thanks again!

Had no idea I loved fine wildlife art until stumbling onto the museum. So many impressive and gorgeous pieces of art, history and their restaurant on site, Palate is a must wit food as incredible as the views and artwork!

Amazing wildlife and landscape art. The is also a cafe which has a killer view over the Elk refuge. There is also a combination ticket for an elk refuge sleigh ride. Don't miss this!

We did have a tour by an expert it was a great insight into the wildlife via art. Not for everyone but we enjoyed it. Can get some great photos from the car park across the Elk refuge
