We had a wonderful burger lunch at this authentic Wyoming restaurant, after visiting the Union Pacific roundhouse museum. The proprietor gave us a good rundown of where else to visit in the area. I recommend the hamburger or cheeseburger plate special with hand cut fries- it was a throwback to childhood! The prices were fine and the service was friendly.

This place was horrible. The prices were really high and food quality was really bad. It is dirty and run down, which might have worked if the food would have been good at all but it wasn't. So much food regret after eating there today.

On the occasion when I visited Mother Mae's, I had intended to go to another hot dog and sundae shop and found it closed. So we went across the street to Mother Mae's. The quality and atmosphere said "Fast Food", but the service and delivery definitely lacked "fast". More distressing than the speed of delivery was being given the time to watch as the owner's extended family (i.e.grandchildren) roamed all over the restaurant, being trained for the day when they, too, might be owners of this place. These children were really far too young to be working and I kept wondering when the last time was that they washed their hands or picked their noses before finally delivering my meal. I could tell that quality standards were a low priority compared to the value placed on the pride they felt by included the ENTIRE family "in the business". Although the food tasted OK, I never returned. Let the wee ones grow up a little before entrusting them with the responsibilities of serving customers food.

This place is dirty, the food is terrible and the service is non-existent. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else in town.
