Our favorite place to meet our family during the summer for a great burger! One of our favorites is the turtle sundaes! The very best around with salted, roasted whole pecans! Yummy! Listen to the sounds of yesteryear with oldies music on outdoor speakers. Just a very nice place to enjoy wonderful food and delicious custard treats!

My daughter and I took the scenic route home (to Milwaukee) in the midst of other errands and ended up driving through West Bend. We just happened to pass by Toucan's and it looked so cute. We had to stop! We enjoyed our custard (sundaes). It was like a blast back to the 1950s. Polite service. Glad we stopped. Will visit again when in the area. Maybe next time for hot food, too.

I saw a flyer in our B&B for Toucan Food and Custard. After reading about the difference between ice cream and custard, I wanted to stop before we left town. My husband was not enthused about eating custard on a chilly winter day but he relented. There were three flavors of custard—vanilla, chocolate, and the daily special. Since we had recently eaten lunch, we both opted for a small cone but it was still a generous serving. The custard was creamy and delicious and my husband was glad that we had stopped. The fifties style diner also offers shakes, sundaes, burgers, sandwiches, fries, and a few other items. Inside there were a few tables and a counter with stools; outside there were many tables.

The diner is open all year long. We will definitely stop next time we are in town. In fact, we might even make a special trip to West Bend just to have custard!

Places like the Toucan are from another time: so well preserved, curves and neon and glass block, it's a mid-century gem. We enjoyed our ice cream treats, and the building and classic menu are the real deal

Toucan's is an old fashioned diner type restaurant. Burgers, fries, sandwiches, and the best ice cream treats! There is a Friday fish fry that is very good. Inside seating, and outside seating. This is a seasonal place.
