I came on Wednesday night which is one of the prime rib nights. It was tender, juicy and big. It outbeat many steakhouses that I have dined in nyc. On Tuesday I happen to stop by and there was music outside and delicious barbecued brisket. This is a must rest in Wausau.

We loved the Hiawatha. What a relaxing environment with pretty good food and service! Food was pretty basic, but there were a few surprises on the menu (a good steak, massive chicken alfredo, beer-cheese nachos). I was in the area for business, and we came back three times! Recommend: grilled cheese with bacon, the ribeye, the potato salad, fish fry. Don't recommend: the nachos, the Italian Stallion sandwich.

Elegant dining in this hidden gem. Great food. 5 of us all had something different and everything was great. Sunday brunch with Mimosas is worth it.

The location of this restaurant is off the beaten path and the area is not the nicest. However, the food and service makes it well worth the visit. We went based upon other reviews and are glad we did, everything we ordered was of good quality, I ordered a club sandwich that was perfect, it comes with a chipotle mayo that brings a little heat, which I found to be amazingly good......
