“Extraordinary!”
Reviewed 7 April 2012

To visit here is almost like visiting another country. It is a beautiful place built on a huge rock outcropping out in the rolling hills of Wisconsin and filled with treasure from all over the world. A must see!

“VERY EDUCATIONAL PLUS BEING FUN”
Reviewed 6 April 2012

We visited this site at least three times. once when the kids were grade school level, then again at high school level and then we went alone on our 35th anniversary. each time we saw so much growth and expansion in it. there is so much to see. everything from music, to designing buildings to developing cities from the 18o0th to the present time. so very educational yet fun and facinating. all ages would love it..

“Boring”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

The house is cool, the museum is a collection of boring junk. See the house, don't pay to see the museum

“This was awesome!”
Reviewed 29 March 2012

Went to house on the rock with my 16 year old daughter and one of her friends. We could have spent days there and can't wait to go back! We loved that it was a self guided tour and couldn't believe the sheer volume. One of those things that must be seen to be believed. We will be back!

“Well Displayed but can be overwhelming”
Reviewed 28 March 2012

House on the Rock is something I visited when I was a pre-teen with my parents and the House itself was one of the places that inspired me to become an Architect. Now I have taken my children, one 13 and the other 11 to visit this attraction. They both found it very interesting and enjoyed our 3 hours there. There are now many, many extra buildings that you can tour that house almost countless collections of things from antique guns and weaponry to classic cast iron banks to elaborate music machines, doll houses and sea ferring memorabilia...It can be a bit overwhelming if you are not prepared for it. The House itself...the original attraction is still very cool in my opinion but is challenging for anyone over 6'-0" tall but that is part of what makes it unique. Yes it is tourist attraction but it is extremely well presented and well organized so if you take it for what it is intended to be and go in knowing that, it is very enlightening and enjoyable. You do need a minumum of 3 hours to see it all, 4 hours is even better and less rushed. I would recommend it to anyone and it is very family friendly!!!
