This was our second stay at the Iron Horse and the hotel was a good as it was the first time. There are big windows in the sleeping rooms. The rooms themselves are large and tastefully decorated. The bathroom is large with a wonderful rain shower. It's clean and comfortable. The bar, restaurant and reception area were active and noisy but our room was very quiet. Breakfast in the library was delicious with excellent coffee.

Hello Walking16,

I'm glad we didn't disappoint! The Library is my favorite place to spend time, whether by the fireplace at night or with a cup of local coffee by Colectivo in the morning.

Thank you for recognizing all our special touches and we hope to see you again soon.

All the best,

My wife and I stayed at the Iron Horse Hotel for a one-night get away. What a fantastic piece of property! This is one of the best designed hotels we have stayed in. It's location in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward makes finding a restaurant or activity in downtown very easy. The hotel itself was an old factory and many aspects of the factory have been restored and incorporated into the hotel. Architecture and design incorporate Milwaukee's historic ties to Harley Davidson (hence Iron Horse), but in a very tasteful, upscale manner. The restaurant and bar serve great drinks and an upscale selection of sandwiches and entree's. Our room was a standard size, but felt huge with tall ceilings and a very open floor plan. The stay is worth the price while giving you a good base for fun in Milwaukee!

Dear Ben D,

We are the proud anchor of Walker's Point and love showcasing local touches throughout the hotel. Milwaukee is a great city featuring artisan crafts, local distilleries, great dining and a strong sense and respect for history. Great to see you had a fun time and we would love to have you back in the Summer when the city showcases all of its festivals and outdoor activities.

Regards,

Check in was speedy- the two desk agents were very friendly and chatted about our visit. We stayed on the 5th floor- our view was awesome. You could see the entire downtown skyline. Large, clean room with a work space, a rainfall shower, and quality in room additions (soaps, makeup remover, mini bar selection). The beds were very comfortable. My only complaint is that the train is right outside of the hotel. It does get kind of noisy for light sleepers, but they provide you with earplugs to offset this. Checkout was easy, and the morning staff was friendly. This hotel is very close to many great restaurants and attractions. A must stay place in Milwaukee!!!

My husband and went back to the Iron Horse for our first stay. Our first date we went to the bar. On our wedding day we had pictures taken here. Our first stay was great . Hip rooms with great showers. Was greeted by by a complimentary hurricane - best I ever had. Comfie beds. Have never eaten here bc there are too many great restaurants in the area to try. Only co was I don't believe the queens in the dbl queen rooms are true queens. But stay was nice.

Well decorated lobby and rooms. Friendly staff. The bar can't be beat. A great renovation of a warehouse just out of downtown and easy to get to. Coffee pot and phone didn't work but they replaced the pot quickly. Never got the phone working and offered us an upgrade which we will use next time.

Room Tip: choose a room facing away from the canal - no trains on that side.
