Prairie Cafe is a cozy (but not small) place tucked behind Copps grocery store. It's decorated with local artists' work and has both tables and comfy chairs. It's a great place to grab a relaxing lunch or some coffee and dessert. The staff is very friendly and the food is served promptly. My meals have always been delicious. The quiche, coffee, and baked goods are fantastic. There is free wi-fi so I can do some work after lunch.

We enjoy breakfast here more than anywhere else. The environment is sunny, with colorful art, spacious and usually serene but with music. Nice quiches with hot muffins and fruit. Good coffee selection with organic, too. Self serve. Booths, tables and couches. Family crowd comes early many Fri nights for folk and bluegrass music. Never seems too full for two more.
I'd call their dinner menu limited. Prices quite reasonable.
Tonight, for a change, the entertainer will be a jazz vocalist.

This is a coffee-shop, bakery type restaurant. You place your order at the counter, find a table, and they bring out your food. We had an excellent breakfast here. My omelet was so much better than you get at most places - fluffy and moist. The hash browns and pancakes were great. But the best part was the toasted rye bread. It was the best I've ever had - it tasted fresh from the bakery.
