I have stopped here before for their baked goods and they are awesome especially their huge and tasty eclair. This was the first time I ate a meal here.
Our group was returning to Milwaukee after the Badger football game and needed a real meal so we stopped at the Cone. After a short wait for a couple of tables we were seated. It obviously had been busy with fans like us.
Unfortunately many of the specials were gone and diner staples like meatloaf are only served on Thursdays. We ordered a range of items from the Walleye to fish sandwiches to the ham steak, etc. I tried the ham steak - it said it was one pound and it was huge! Too bad it was more about size than flavor. Others said their meals were good but not great. And probably because it is a truck stop they don't serve beer...
The one stand-out was their dinner roll that was the 5X the size of most dinner rolls - it was not just large but delicious.
Overall the prices are reasonable, the servings large but the food - eh, just OK. I will stop back for their baked goods since that appears to be their strength!
