I have stopped here before for their baked goods and they are awesome especially their huge and tasty eclair. This was the first time I ate a meal here.

Our group was returning to Milwaukee after the Badger football game and needed a real meal so we stopped at the Cone. After a short wait for a couple of tables we were seated. It obviously had been busy with fans like us.

Unfortunately many of the specials were gone and diner staples like meatloaf are only served on Thursdays. We ordered a range of items from the Walleye to fish sandwiches to the ham steak, etc. I tried the ham steak - it said it was one pound and it was huge! Too bad it was more about size than flavor. Others said their meals were good but not great. And probably because it is a truck stop they don't serve beer...

The one stand-out was their dinner roll that was the 5X the size of most dinner rolls - it was not just large but delicious.

Overall the prices are reasonable, the servings large but the food - eh, just OK. I will stop back for their baked goods since that appears to be their strength!

We stopped here on way home from Madison. Crowded but people come and go quickly. Had the daily special which included soup. There Pea soup was outstanding and it was a bowl, not a cup. We couldn’t finish the dinner so it home. Also included ice cream. Service was quick even though it was busy

We stopped here for a late lunch on a Saturday, very busy place. We each ordered one of the daily specials for $6.75. Started with chicken noodle soup which came with a dinner roll that was as big as a small loaf of bread! Both were very good and by then we were already full. I had a salad that was disappointing; nothing but iceberg lettuce mix with one cherry tomato and very bad French dressing. The entrees were fair, not wonderful, but okay for the price. Coffee was only about $1.59 a cup and the pot was left on the table for us. Service was wonderful, the ladies work so hard.

I had the taco salad, it was very good, hubs had a burger, said it was just ok. Servers were all great and those ladies WORK. Kitchen staff must be great, our food came super quick. I’d come for the service more than the food, but we’ll eat here again. They have something for everyone, and of course breakfast all day! Bakery selection is amazing, I’ve never seen eclairs and cream puffs and cookies and everything else as HUGE as they were.

The biscuits and sausage gravy withe two over easy eggs on top was exactly as ordered. Good flavor, not gummy like so many places serve it. The pecan roll was huge but very tasty. All the fresh baked goods looked great.

Service was quick attentive and friendly. No line for seating but that does happen sometimes since it is a popular destination for both locals and truckers.
