This is our second time at this park and it won’t be the last. This trip we were with our 2 year old son so we weren’t able to spend as much time as we would’ve liked. We were able to take a short hike and spend some time at the Nature Center. Our son loved watching the boats go by at the lookouts. I hope the next time we visit we can spend more time and bike around the park. October is the perfect time to go. For fall colors we were about a week early, on October 6th, but we had warmer weather.

This park is one of the best reasons to visit Door County. However, the tower was one of the best reasons to visit this park. Sadly, the tower is no more. However, this is still a fantastic park for a short walk, a long walk, or even an entire day if you really want to take your time. Not to be missed!

If you travel to Door County in the fall, this park is something you don't want to miss. One thing to be aware of, is that if you visit when the entrance center isn't open, it is helpful to have the entrance fee in cash. You stop and fill out a form and deposit your fee in a drop box. A debit card isn't much help here. The park is well marked with beautiful roads (driving through) and separate bike trails and numerous hiking trails. The map is helpful and easy to follow. It would be a great place for a picnic lunch. The views are unbelievable. Sites are well marked with additional historic or natural information.

What a beautiful forest and lake shore drive! While we did not have much time, every moment was wonderful. Expansive lake and island views, lighthouse, and a nice bay. Very well maintained.

Great park, well maintained, lovely views. The inly thing missing was an observation tower. I would love to come back in summer to camp!
