We were in Door County last Thursday night when a storm came in with rain and 69 mph winds. We were trapped by falling trees for two hours in the park in a trolley. When we were able to get out thanks to the great effort of our driver/actor and the DNR, we still had to drive back to our room with the road was covered with down lines and trees. When we finally made it back to our room, there was no electricity, a tree was down in the parking lot, and we were not sure how we would get upstairs. What a suprise to see candles on the stairs left to lead the way. The next morning, the electricity was still off and we would have understood if there wasn't a breakfast available. However, to our suprise there was a full breakfast and a gallon of water was left at our door to help us clean up even though they were trying to clean up debris and get things back into working order. This is not the first time we have stayed with Sue and Steve and it will not be the last as we always enjoy the staff, lodging, good food, and company but they both went well out of their way to make us comfortable in a bad situation. When we received our bill (via e-mail since the computers were down), they also gave us a $10 discount for any inconvenience. The only reason I hesitate to write this review is that we may not be able to get a room the next time we visit Door Country as they will always be filled!!!

I must say that I truly don't understand anyone having a complaint while staying here. I agree with the previous review of " almost perfect". My husband and I are in our late 30's and have a 2-year-old at home. While she was enjoying some time with her grandma back home, we were very much looking forward to some adult time. We also realize that when you are staying in a place that does not accommodate children, you sometimes get an older crowd. So what! If you're looking to party it up, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for true peace and relaxation, don't wait another minute. Contact Sue and Steve right now!

Extremely clean, I like that! Very friendly, Sue & Steve were the best hosts possible. Very willing to be of help. Excellent breakfast, I can't imagine any B&B doing a better breakfast. Looking forward to a return trip!

Room Tip: I don't think there are any 'bad' rooms.
