I didn't like anything about this hotel...oh, wait there is one thing - it was when I left it. There was garbage right next to the door leading to our room, there was broken down air conditioners in the hallway off to the side along with broken down vending machines. The hot tub was closed, vending machines that did work are from the 1960's. One room had a broken window repaired with cardboard. Our room had blinds that were broken, so anyone could have 'peeped in'...walked around in the dark for privacy. The backdoor has a key card entry for security but the door was broke. Horrible, simply horrible...

Room Tip: Stay in your car

We booked the Regency Inn and Suite in Eau Claire Wisconsin on Hotels.com. After an 11 hour drive on the first day of our family road trip we rolled in to town around 7:30 pm and we glad to be finally able to relax. Unfortunately the hotel was so terrible we were literally afraid to stay here. The toilet leaked, the sink was broken, there were no towels or soap in the bathroom, the lights didn’t work, the carpet had a layer of grime on it that was grey and greasy, it smelled like rotting garbage, the door didn’t lock properly, the pool deck was mouldy, and there were cracks and holes all over the walls, with paint flaking off everything. It didn’t matter how tired we were, I couldn’t let my family stay here so we got our money back, packed up the truck and went looking for somewhere else to stay. I’ve been all around the continent and have stayed in a few awful places - Ive stayed in lots of barracks and I’ve even lived on a remote Canadian First Nation Reserve for a few months. I’ve never seen a place this awful. This is a perfect example of false advertising.

Don't stay here! The photo shown with the nice stone is a total misrepresetation of this dumpy place!! We had to drive around the building a few times to see the sign that said "Lobby". We had a late check-in and when we arrived from out-of -town at 8:15 P.M. , they said our room wasn't clean and ready yet !! We ended up walking out with no room and it was a COMPLETE JOKE! YUCK!! Don't even consider this place. They should not even be in service!!

Absolutely terrible do not go here!!! It was very dirty! Bugs in the bathroom and found a needle in the bathroom! Don't know why anyone would stay there! Everything was not just outdated but falling apart.

Stayed for a baseball weekend. Hotel yes is outdated but appears they are working slowly on updates. Our rooms were also dated but fine for the price. Whirlpool being fixed but pool was large. Continental breakfast was fine but could have used some fresh fruit added to it. Staff on our visit was friendly and helpful with any questions.
