This restaurant is located on the grounds on the Wild Eagle Resort on the shores of Duck Lake in Eagle River's famous Chain of Lakes. Many of the patrons are guests at this beautiful resort. Unfortunately, the restaurant itself is not on the lake, and the view is primarily of the resort'a sports area. There's a full service bar here that's on the small side, as is the restaurant itself, which holds about 15 tables. The menu is reasonably diverse with some choices like calamari, glazed salmon and scallops, a bit scarce in the Northwoods. They have an interesting northern pike fish fry on Friday's. The food here is excellent. Our wine pours were quite generous. Our server, Gail, was both friendly and efficient. This is a spot off the beaten track that's well worth a visit if you are looking for something a bit different than a burger and fries.
