We spent two weeks here this summer, our first visit to the Tarn region, & overall it was a good holiday with our host being very welcoming without being intrusive.
The accommodation itself was adequate for our needs though we did have a real problem with angry wasps around the steps on entering/leaving the property & getting up & down the steps to the pool was like playing dodge the wasps. Perhaps we were unlucky but we certainly had a number of nasty stings to show for it ☹️
The equipment provided within the property was plentiful but we struggled for space in the fridge to keep the wine & beers chilled as well the foodstuff & the icebox didn't work as well as we would have liked for the ice lollies & chill packs I think perhaps a larger fridge/freezer would be more useful than perhaps the tumble dryer or dishwasher but that's just my opinion which may not be shared by other guests.
There are some lovely places to visit within a short drive such as Cordes, Najac, Villefranche, St Antonin & not forgetting Laguepie which became our local 'watering hole'.
One important point to consider for those who still need wifi access to work is that the wifi signal at the gite is very hit & miss. If you just need to log on from time to time it's ok but otherwise it's not what we would call reliable.
Fermette DuBois is a lovely holiday cottage in the countryside surrounded by trees and fields - ideal for a family getaway though only a stone's throw from the local amenities. The hosts are very helpful and will do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, we arrived in the early hours and were extremely happy with the few groceries they'd picked up for us and left on the table for breakfast.
The Tarn is a beautiful area, plenty to see and do, even though our sightseeing was cut short most days by the children who were eager to get back to the pool!!
Cordes and Najac are must see places, as well as the cathedral in Albi. We had a great day canoeing in St Antonin aswell, despite it being the only day without sunshine.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to other families.

Fantastic 2 weeks holiday with family,Accommodation was perfect everything you needed for a relaxing family holiday in the french countryside. The Host made sure we had everything we needed when we arrived and was always on hand but never intrusive. We had sole use of swimming pool and gardens were perfect to relax in after a busy day sight seeing. The local town of Cordes-sur-Ciel is very picturesque and the market is well worth a visit.I would highly recommend this as a relaxing family holiday destination.
