We were looking for a late evening dinner and stumbled on The Block. I had the Cubano and a fantastic stew. My wife essentially asked them to make her a salad which was not on the menu, and they came through with flying colors. Vicki provided great service. Many wines to choose from at reasonable prices. Would stop again.

I enjoyed a business lunch here and the all food was wonderful. I would have given 5 stars had the service been less delayed.

We enjoy coming here to celebrate special occasions because of the atmosphere, service, and the excellent food. We always reserve our table ahead of time and enjoy 5-star service from the waitstaff. An experience unique to the Block is its wine flights, which allow you to sample some excellent wines that you may have otherwise passed over. Their cheese plates are the perfect appetizer but if you prefer something more substantial they have some great options. Their menu is brief, so you can quickly decide on something that is sure to get your mouth water- you will not be disappointed! I've tried their steak, lamb, short ribs, scallops, homemade pasta, and sea bass and have found it all to be uniquely flavored, beautifully plated, moist, tender, and satisfying. You won't be overwhelmed by an oversized portion nor will you feel like you are overpaying for something you could've gotten at Applebees. This is truly an upscale restaurant the holds a special place in our dining rotation.

A little disappointed with the over cooked salmon on more than one occasion, even after requesting the item be cooked "medium". But, overall the food is good. Ambiance is what makes this place; the windows and outdoor seating are great. Also should mention the extensive wine list and the awesome happy hour specials.

Pies and Pints down the road had a long wait, so we ended up at Block. Better for couples than a family choice, Block did have some outstanding options on their menu.

The potato leek soup was terrific, and came with two really great pieces of crostini. The deconstructed Caesar salad was smothered in dressing, and came with bleu cheese, which was weird, did not work at all, and how is that deconstructed?

My kids had sandwiches that they mostly liked, but the cuban sandwich had mozzarella (also weird, supposed to be swiss!) and my wife got some arugula salad that she said was pretty good.

For the price, Block falls a little short. My guess is there are some things on the menu which they do very well, and like I said, a good date night restaurant. Service was very good...friendly and attentive.

Still wish I could have tried Pies and Pints, though.
