No need for me to repeat what has been said by others about this elegant B&B with very attendant owners. The GBP 90 per room is , on balance, worth it with a glorious breakfast the size of a dump truck. My criticism? The walls are very thin and if you have someone staying next to you, you will be woken by their alarm, as I was, and subjected to all the wondrous sounds of early morning noises from their bathroom, which in my case backed onto my headboard. Yuk !!

Room Tip: Say 'poo' to a loo if it backs onto you !!!

I am so sorry you had a problem with sound from room next door .... In twenty years we have never had anyone mention it ... We will look into it.

Hoping you enjoyed your diving weekend and that you will one day be back to stay with us ... We could offer you any of our three other rooms if preferred.... And we will be happy, as last time ,to provide you with a complimentary breakfast on the morning you arrive, if necessary .

Regards

Love staying at Capernwray House, tripadvisor awards are well deserved. The kingfisher room is the largest bedroom with the same high standard as the Teal and Sandpiper which we have stayed in before. The bed is very large and comfortable and the room is as quiet as the others with views of beautifully manicured gardens and the countryside. The friendliness of our hosts added to a relaxing break.

This is the cleanest guest house/hotel I have stayed in for many years. The standard of cleanliness throughout was outstanding from the shared areas to the bedrooms. The decor was extremely well maintained and the furnishings were of good quality. The hosts could not have been friendlier or more helpful, but were not at all intrusive. I have no crticisms at all of the accommdation and would definitely stay there again and recommend it wholeheartedly to my colleagues and friends. What a find!

Stayed for just one night at this fabulous place en route to Leighton Moss. We received a warm welcome from Roy which immediately made us feel at home. Capernwray House in a beautiful location in it's own grounds is extremely comfortable and relaxing . Stayed in the Kingfisher room which was spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean with most importantly a very comfortable bed. The ensuite was huge with all amenities needed, again spotlessly clean. Breakfast (full English) was delicious and cooked to perfection.
Roy and Mel were so welcoming that we could have stayed longer if time allowed but we would have no hesitation in booking to stay again next time. Capernwray House is excellent value for money.

Stayed in 'Teal', a loverrly room with super view of hills and garden ( and horses). Room and bathroom were immaculate and beautifully furnished. Very very comfy and after wlaking up Ingleborough Hill ( 723m!!) I really enjoyed having a lovely hot bath.
Breakfasts were absolutley delicious - beautifully prepared fresh fruit ( not tinned!!) and delicious fish, or sausages/black pudding and bacon. Yummmmm

Room Tip: Choose Teal!!
