The menu selection looked good but the quality of food was really not up to par. The soup of the day which was cream of potato was thick enough to eat with a fork and not very hot, the boxed green salad could have been fresher. Will probably not eat here again. Maybe eating in early evening made a difference...lunch time dining might have been better.

They may say it is the "Best of West Virginia" , but that is either a very low bar, or not true. The art you see inside is quite nice, but the food was lackluster. I had some BBQ which was terribly salty and dried out, along with some fried green tomatoes which were woefully soggy and devoid of flavor. My son had fish and chips which appeared to have been sitting under a warming light for many hours. Corn was the only thing that was tasty. Won't be stopping there again.

Came to town for a wedding and had a family breakfast at The Tamarack. Being from the area am well acquainted with this establishment. Their All you can Eat Breakfast is a killer. If you walk away hungry you have no one to blame except yourself. They offer a wide variety of selections including some mouth-watering desserts.

Local artisans have their works and products on display and they event have demonstration periods for some of the featured crafts people. You can browse at your leisure and buy to your hearts content.

Parking is ample and the staff is friendly and helpful. The home crated products are many one of a kind and some of the prices reflect this. In other words 'not an inexpensive place to shop for homemade goods".

We ALWAYS have an excellent meal at Tamarack! It is served cafeteria style, with two seating areas to enjoy your meal at your leisure. There is a variety of very appealing dishes, cooked by understudies of Chefs at the Greenbrier. Salmon is always excellent and a generous portion! Same for all the entrées, side dishes and desserts. We try to make Tamarack and have some of this amazing food, priced very reasonably, every time we are back in WV. DO give them a try if you haven’t, it’s SO GOOD! The gourmet taste and the quality is unmistakable. Recommend for a delicious meal whether traveling or simply desiring a quality meal.

Lousy service, rude employees three different employees. Over overpriced mediocre food. Definitely not the best West Virginia has to offer, as they brag. Never again.
