Description: It's difficult to say what is most appealing about the Barking Frog - the food, the wine, the atmosphere. All of the above earned this casual bistro featuring country fresh Northwest cuisine rave reviews. Delectable dishes entice guests to linger in the light-filled dining room or to gather around the fireplace. While in the summer, lunch and dinner are served in the courtyard. We have eaten at the Barking Frog several times during two stays at the Willows Lodge and have never been disappointed. Their breakfasts are very good and the omelets are excellent.
The dinner menu is diverse and interesting. Some of their sides are quite special, for example the mandolin-sliced cauliflower dish and the beet steak with blue cheese. We enjoyed the oysters two different nights and the Grand Marnier prawns. We had the black cod and arctic char and were thrilled by the different mushrooms they offered in the dishes. One of us also had a pork bone-in chop from the rack that was sensational - the best pork ever.
The wine list is very good. Wines by the class are well chosen and reasonably priced.

I have visited several Michelin star rated places in Europe, this one fits right in. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent wine, excellent value. The tasting menu was $79, four courses (without desert), an individual mix and match from their regular menu. Highly recommended.

This is a place to get an excellent, upscale Northwest meal. Fresh seafood, chicken and steaks. And their cocktails are beautiful and tasty. We love this place but don’t always love the walk in the rain to get to the front door... not too bad though!

Food was excellent, but pricey. I had the pork chop which was amazing. Good atmosphere and staff was friendly and attentive.

What a spectacular feast! We were so lucky to have found a late reservation for our Thanksgiving. Family came from Tacoma, Everett, Index, Bainbridge Island, and Federal Way. We were treated like royalty, the courteous and personable staff catered to our every need. Each and every detail was perfect, from the personalized menu at our lovely table in the Fireside Lounge, to the exquisitely prepared banquet selections. We didn't feel rushed, and were allowed to linger and enjoy our family visit and dining experience. We loved it. We thought it was well worth the $70 plus tip per person for our holiday meal, and would not hesitate to do it again.
