We went to Westport to go fishing and crabbing. We walked to the beach and to the lighthouse. The grocery store was close. We were able to clean our crabbing and fishing equipment outside at the fishing station. We had a wonderful time. The Allee House was a great place to stay, it was very clean and comfortable for all of us, I would definitely stay there again. It was fun watching the deer walking by or nibbling the bushes everyday. Very relaxing!
This charming home just went through a big renovation and is perfect for a medium-sized group! The kitchen is fully equipped with all the tools you'd need for decent cooking. There are three bedrooms, two full baths and a spacious living room with a gas fireplace. We put the fireplace to good use because Washington Weather being what it is, it was pretty cold and rainy, even though it was May. A quick drive down the street put us at the beach. (YOU NEED A DISCOVER PASS if you plan to park in the parking lot there.) The neighbors next door have a little farm with chickens and goats, and there are some tame domestic rabbits in the neighborhood that come to visit the beach house and nibble the yard. Wonderful!
We didn't get a chance to use the grill on the porch, but I plan to come again in August and put it to good use.
I noticed a sink outside perfect for cleaning the fish that you might have just caught from your Westport charter fishing trip.
Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, this is a great little getaway place!
