We had a very nice lunch here of fish and chips and Salmon Chowder. The server was wonderful and the food, while slightly spendy, was very good. We'd highly recommend the Salmon Chowder.

The view out the large dining room windows was an extra treat, although the seats at our table next to the window had almost no cushion on the bottom. We were both sore after leaving. We'd suggest getting better seat cushions on these chairs.

We had a delicious lunch in the main dining room with a beautiful view and wonderful attention to our needs. We were so impressed that we have decided to make another visit to stay and play golf. Hats off to the team that makes this dining room so special! Thank you

The dining room has had a lovely make-over. The heavy wood chairs have been replaced with lighter, more comfortable fabric chairs. The colors are soft and inviting. The waitstaff couldn't have been friendlier or more professional--their new outfits match the new furnishings. I've always been chilly when I've visited here. They seem to have turned up the heat. I didn't have to wear my jacket during lunch. They now have gluten free bread available for all the sandwiches. I had a sandwich with a very nice side salad--nicely served. My husband had a quesadilla. He didn't eat one last piece of it and decided he wanted to take it home. It must have been really good because he never does that.

While visiting the Portland, Oregon area a friend of my husband's suggested we drive up to visit the Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington. Since it was a dreary and rainy day, we decided to venture out. The drive is about an hour away and mostly on highway roads. To reach the lodge one must drive across the Bridge to the God's bridge which takes you across the Columbia River. It is a unique bridge and has a toll of $2 per way, but definitely worth the toll. Upon reaching the lodge we decided to venture into the bar instead of the dining room as it had a roaring fire going in the fireplace and quite a view which could be seen through massive windows. The menu was ample with choices to cater to most people's desires. We treated ourselves to the Steelhead Salmon Tacos and Steak Salad, both of which were delicious. Our server, who's name slips my memory, was very pleasant and attentive. We would definitely go back again and hopefully on a nicer day where we could venture outside and take advantage of their Zip Line Tour. So if you are looking for a place off the beaten path, check out the Skamania Lodge.
