This is the real deal. It’s worth a drive over the mountains from Seattle. Almost everything is made in house. We tried the pork rib tips, sausage, collard greens, fries, and BBQ beans. All were stellar.

We found Smokey’s on Google Maps- What a Great Find. Great Food, Great Setting. The Brisket was so tasty and tender.

We hadn’t planned to eat at Smokey’s, but we’re so glad we did! We were exploring the historic area surrounding the old train station and saw that there is a restaurant in the location of the former railroad lunchroom, so decided to try it. I had the pork sliders with a portion of coleslaw. (I’d suggest the meat plates with two included sides as a better price option.) We sampled the three varieties of sauce...and loved them all, even taking home a bottle of the smoky sweet one. Yum! It was especially fun to look out the window imagining a busy rail yard with trains passing by...in another era. Good food and friendly service. We’ll be back.

The restaurant is in the former train station at the edge of a park with an historical walking path. The service was wonderfully attentive and helpful. The menu has a variety of dishes and we were served quickly. The food itself was as described and it was good but not anything out of the ordinary. I would go again and sit outside in warmer weather. The location is interesting with a small historical museum adjacent.

We ordered carry-out food to take back to our hotel. Everything that we ate was delicious, especially the fried okra. If we find ourselves in Cle Elum again, we will definitely consider eating at this restaurant.
